I think when you do the math, and consider that John McCain is no longer able to vote, it comes out like this:
SCENARIO 1A - John McCain stays in Senate, but cannot vote:
50-49 Republican, 1 defection to “NO” loses the nomination, unless offset by a Democrat
SCENARIO 1B - John McCain stays in Senate, but cannot vote:
50-49 Republican, 1 defection to “PRESENT” (or non-voting) makes it 49-49, and Pence breaks the tie, and the nominee is confirmed.
SCENARIO 2 - Cindy McCain is in Senate and votes yes:
51-49 Republican, 1 defection makes the outcome 50-50, Pence breaks the tie, and the nominee is confirmed.
SCENARIO 3A & 3B - Cindy McCain is in Senate and votes no:
50-50 tie, Pence breaks the tie, and the Republican is confirmed; One defection to “NO” or one to “PRESENT” loses the nomination (49-50).
So it only works against us if someone is a no-show or votes “present”, but if they all vote, Cindy can only help us, not hurt us.

If Cindy McCain is appointed, Doug Ducey can kiss his governorship goodbye. He's already stated he was not going to appoint her. AZ, or any other senate or HOR seats, are not an inherited right.

No one has ever voted for Cindy McCain. They HAVE voted for Kelli Ward even though she didn’t get enough votes. Kelli Ward should be appointed. I believe she will then prove herself worthy enough to win the election next time ending the McCain curse.
