A former top Border Patrol official was tapped Saturday to be the acting chief of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Ronald D. Vitiello takes over from Thomas D. Homan, who had been the acting chief since the start of the Trump administration.
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen announced the move, calling Mr. Vitiello a “well-respected career law enforcement officer” and promised he would be a good advocate for agents and officers.

Trump isn’t playing by the Democrats’ rules; nor yours. He is focused on doing what’s right for the country. The tweets, the entire Mueller investigation, and the counter-investigations are all complete misdirection. He can send the entire establishment running with 200 characters, while he can focus on important matters.
He has already accomplished more than any conservative President in recent history. Ever notice how quickly he redirects fire back to himself? Those whom he appoints have no fear of being abandoned to the Leftist wolves.
