The 12-year-old daughter of two undocumented immigrant parents delivered an emotional speech at the Families Belong Together rally in Washington, D.C., on Saturday.
The girl, identified only as “Leah” in a CNN video, fought back tears while speaking out against the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy, which has resulted in more than 2,000 migrant children being detained and separated from their parents.
“Why do they hurt us like this?” She said. “It is unfair that they get to spend time with their families today while there are children in detention centers and in cages all alone missing their parents, who are thrown in jail.”
The thousands of attendees cheered Leah on and chanted “Shame” in response to mentions of Trump policies and family separations.
Leah shared her personal fears that her mother will be arrested and deported, saying that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) wants to “take away my mom from me.”
“I don’t like to live with this fear, it’s scary,” Leah said. “I can’t sleep, I can’t study, I am stressed.”
“I don’t understand why this administration won’t support mothers who just want a better life for their children,” she continued. “This needs to change.”
Leah said that she wanted to be “an example” to other kids with undocumented parents, and to tell them “not to give up.”
“We are all human and deserve to be loved and cared for,” she said. “We are children. Our government has to do the right thing and stop separating us from our parents.”

Her parents broke the law by coming here in violation of our immigration law. When she references “our government” she should realize it’s not her parents government

President Trump clearly actually does care about America and Americans. Otherwise, why would he take an estimated $400,000,000 per year hit in opportunity cost to have him, his family, his allies, et al. harangued, lied about, tarred by the leftscum media, threatened, investigated by a corrupt DoJ including the FBI and NSA, etc.? Several hundred million mothers around the world can say the same, and probably a hundred million or more mothers in Central and South America and Mexico.

You can show the photo of the girl on the cover of time and this crying girl. The narrator says, 'Do you remember these girls?' Both of the them have mothers and fathers'.
Then show photos of children who lost parents because of illegal aliens with the narration, 'These children no longer have parents because of illegal aliens and our lax immigration laws'.

I agree with her - families do belong together. Deport them all. Or even better, stop promising that we will shelter criminals and reward their crimes, so they will stop coming here illegally.
Snowflake “Leah”. When your parents are criminals, they go to jail. Since you are minor you don’t, but, since you are criminal too, you need to housed somewhere until everyone gets processed and returned to your native country where you can be united again.
