A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge on Friday refused to overturn Gov. Jerry Browns decision denying parole to former Charles Manson follower and convicted killer Leslie Van Houten.
In his ruling, Judge William C. Ryan said there was some evidence to support Browns decision in refusing to release Leslie Van Houten, 68, who in 1971 was found guilty of taking part in the brutal killings of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca in Los Angeles.
If released, Ryan found that Van Houten would pose an unreasonable risk of danger to society.
Ryan said the brutal and terrorizing manner in which Van Houten and her accomplices killed the LaBiancas demonstrates how the crime was more heinous than most and stands apart from others.

I dont disagree with the decision, but if shed been a gang member in Chicago and murdered someone a week ago, shed have been free already.
They all should have been sent to Old Sparky 40 years ago!
I like the one that became born again.
Let her rot.
Being part of one of the most infamous murder sprees in recent history, I’m sure played a part in the decision here.
Good.
Good!
A couple of the members of this little ‘club’ were just pure nutcases. I think if Charlie was 25 years old today and accomplished the same act....he’d just be declared insane and sent off to a mental facility.
Good for the judges decision and Moonbeam for denying parole, he got something right as Governor.
i thought she was JUST up for parole- how often is a parole hearing?
Sometimes the CA judicial system is great - keeping her in prison as well as Sirhan Sirhan .... he’d be welcomed back to Palestine (or wherever the slug came from) as a hero.
“ thought she was JUST up for parole- how often is a parole hearing?”
She was up for parole, and she did have a hearing, and the board recommendation was sent to the governor’s office, and it took this long for the governor to respond... And that’s why it seems like it’s a second time.
How on God’s earth are any of them still alive?
They all should have been sent to Old Sparky 40 years ago!
He’d be an Antifa leader and popular on social media for his #resistance posts.
spit!
Thats partly why I dont disagree. I dont think her sentence should be lightened, I think gang murderers in Chicago should get stiffer ones.
Being part of one of the most infamous murder sprees in recent history, Im sure played a part in the decision here.

I’m sure it did, but that’s a little to close to the insanity of “hate speech” for my taste.
The dead people killed by the Manson gang were no more or less dead than the dead people killed by anyone else. If you’re going to let one out of jail after X amount of years on parole, you should let them both out since they did the same crime.
They stabbed Mrs. Labianca 41 times. Nah, sorry lady, youre a lunatic, keep her locked up.
