I personally never had a problem with same-sex couples/partnerships. I just wished they would find another word for it than "marriage" or "married". Those words should be, IMHO, reserved for regular heterosexual couples.
Any judge who believes as Scalia did is alright in my book. They deserve consideration at the very least if they otherwise qualify for SCOTUS.

Agree 100%.
It made sense to me. The government shouldn't be marrying anyone, only granting legal rights. Let Churches and social organizations do the marrying, and have a legal document to create the civil union.
Then, gays got that, and radicals went nuts with their actual agenda which is destroying family and normal social order.
I didn’t have a problem either until they started ramming gayness in our schools starting at elementary grades. Now it’s Transexuals and LGBTXYZMMOLP.
I remember when the gays said just stay out of our bedroom. Ok. But now it’s everywhere TV, schools, parades, etc.
