Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., declared Thursday on national TV that the newest member of the Supreme Court, Justice Neil Gorsuch, did not receive an affirmative vote from one Democrat in his confirmation process.
The Democratic lawmaker appeared on CNN to voice her disdain over President Donald Trump selecting Justice Anthony Kennedys replacement after he retires in July, noting that the president has previously said that he will appoint justices who will overturn Roe V. Wade.
Liberal anchor Chris Cuomo pointed out that nominees will not admit any desire to overturn the law, pointing to Gorsuch as the latest example of this.
Gillibrand countered that her party did not believe Gorsuch, stressing that he didnt get a vote from one Democrat.
Cuomo tried to correct the senator, a long shot favorite to be the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee, but she refused the assist.
Au contraire, Sen. Silliblond. Dem Sens Heitkamp (ND), Manchin (WV), and Donnelly (IN) all voted to confirm Gorsuch. And guess what? All three are up for reelection this year, in red states.
Oops-believe-not velieve
Doesn’t make her any less, ahem, “noticeable.” And with all that weight in just the right places, it gives me lots of ideas that are not suitable here on FR.
It will be at least four this time.
Kirsten Gillibroad is simply a brainwashed whore blindly following orders from her pimp, the Honorable upchuck Schumer!
Yup. Cheerleader to sorority sister to trophy wife to country club to limousine liberal.
That used to be the path to being a Republican but today’s Republican is not tied to the country club. Today’s Republican is about patriotism, a church, rural America, country music, the South, and a modest upbringing.
All cattle and no hat.
Since when have Democrats ever let a little thing like facts get in the way of a good argument?
The few liberals who moved out here from the city live in little gated enclaves, and almost all of them have left over the last 4 years or so-they don’t like the distance to grocery stores, “real” malls are non-existant etc and they have never been accepted into the community because of their elitist attitude-this is a rural area and people are expected to return things like work, help with some chore, etc in kind-not treat neighbors as servants-something liberals don’t get-so they get a proper shunning at our businesses, and soon enough they go back to the city where people are more like them-good riddance...
Create rights that don’t exist and erode or eliminate rights that do exist...and somehow call it good government. It is the progressive creed.
