The newest star of the Democratic Party, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, launched her New York congressional campaign by declaring “women like me aren’t supposed to run for office” — a jarring embrace of her distinction as a 28-year-old Latina less than a year removed from a job tending bar.
Her campaign slogan: “It’s time for one of us.”
That appeal to the tribal identities of class, age, gender and ethnicity turned out to be a good gamble, steering her to the nomination in a year when Democratic voters are increasingly embracing diversity as a way to realize the change they seek in the country.

Yep. It is the unfortunate result of cognitive incrementalism. Or, we only can see meekly, what came before us.

Or old - still a lot of campus radicals around even though they are in their 70’s and 80’s, they are drawing big government pensions from State Universities and have time to show up at protests.
When the Democrats began their war on WHITE MEN I don’t think they every thought they would become “victims” as well.
Identity politics is the worse tribalism ever. Each member of the group is part of the “tribe”. They can work with other tribes but in the end, they will select a member of their group over outsiders.
There will be fewer and fewer white male Democrat in position of power if the trend continues. Karma they say is a bitch.
That will be when the jews in this country finally vote republican. What are they going to do when there is no path to winning as a democrat?
This just shows how far toward statism that the democrat base has moved. Most democrat losers are firmly convinced that the only reason that they aren’t successful is that the “rich” somehow cheated them by getting all of the money. The concepts of working and saving apparently are poorly understood by the democrat base. They consider themselves “entitled” to the fruits of the labors of others, and being too lazy to steal on their own rely on the government to do it for them. The politician who pander to this set are the ones who get elected.
White party vs. Anti-white party. Can they possibly make Donald Trump’s job ANY easier?? LOL!
Maybe Bernie will take her under his wing and watch over her.
What I don’t get is that those of her political ideology were responsible for the deaths of well over 100 million people in the 20th century. That FACT needs to repeated loudly and often in the public domain. As Lenin said, “the goal of socialism is communism.”

It’s time that straight white males be purged or leave the Dem party.
Then, we can see some more tribal infighting between different ethic groups in the Dem party. Asians and Jews are down on the pecking orders and have been increasingly marginalized in favor of Muslims and Hispanics. One would think we should also see some cultural conflict between LBGTQ and Muslims, but so far it hasn’t happened to any large extent even in degraded societies such as UK. Perhaps the Muslims are disciplined in practicing their Taqiya.
I think of all the touting of minorities who go into space now. Now, that’s almost a tourist destination. But it was white males, and only white males, who were going when that was a much riskier prospect than it is now.
That’s a risky proposition in its own way. The last thing we need are more rino types on “our” side.
Stupid, Stupid, Stupid White Liberals. They thought that by flooding the country with Hispanics and giving them every single freebie they could think of that they would always vote for them and keep them in power forever.
They couldn’t have been more wrong. The truth is Hispanics (and Blacks, Muslims) are among the biggest racist out there and they only vote for their own and there is no way they were going to continue to let whites rule them.
Once the aging baby boomer Liberal already in power dies or retires, they are going to want one of their own in there. Actually worse for the White Liberals, now they are getting uppity and ain’t waiting, so expect more primaries.
So if you’re a white (especially a White Male) no matter how good of a Liberal you are, because of your color you will be shut out and disenfranchised. White Women will last a little longer but their days are numbered too. Cuomo, O’Malley, Webb and even Bernie, Warren & Biden are kidding themselves if they think the Hispanics and Blacks will ever support them in a primary over one of their own. Hillary gots the nod in 2016 because she is a woman and it was “her turn” but after her, no white male or white female Liberal will ever have a shot at being president again. There will also be fewer and fewer Senate, House & Governorships available for White Liberals and they will always have to worry of being primaried out.
I was reading some comments at the Guardian (I know, I know). One of the leftists there actually had the nerve to accuse those on the right of being “Stalinists”. Comments were closed or I’d have set that straight, though probably gotten deleted for my trouble.

The reality is no one paid attention to this race and she won the primary with just around 2% of the district voting for her. A large proportion of the population is likely illegally here and should not be voting, thus the very low numbers voting in even a Presidential election from this district. Less than 54,000 voted in the last midterm election, about 8% of the district population. While improbable, it is not impossible that the minority conservative citizens could rise up and outvote the D midterm voters - considering only about 47,000 voted for Crowley in the last midterm and I wouldn’t be surprised at all that the young communist gets less votes than that.

Thee is still some room for White Male Dems if they are aggressive socialists like Bernie, Cuomo and Moonbeam.
I would not be surprised. Having the “right” political positions is no longer sufficient, you must also have the identity, because the political position IS the identity.
The collapse of the Democrat Party is irreversible. Without whites on the party, who is going to fund it?
