Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will be grilled Thursday by House Republicans furious over the pace of the Justice Department's compliance with House subpoenas related to the FBI's actions in 2016.
Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray will testify Thursday morning before the House Judiciary Committee. The hearing is scheduled to discuss the Justice Department inspector general report released earlier this month on the FBI's handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, but the Republican document fight with the Justice Department is likely to take center stage.
The House is expected to pass a resolution on Friday demanding that the Justice Department fully comply with subpoenas from the Judiciary and Intelligence committees by July 6. Conservatives have suggested that the resolution is the last step before more drastic measures, like holding Rosenstein in contempt or even impeaching him.
"If they're not here by July 6, then certainly contempt and impeachment would be in order," Rep Mark Meadows, a North Carolina Republican who's the head of the House Freedom Caucus, said Wednesday.

Many people are questioning why Trump has not declassified these docs. My theory is that Trump will let this farce play out and then, strategically, order these docs released in time for maximum impact on the Midterms.

Will this be another marathon F You to congress and the American people (like Strzok’s)? Will this weasel be under oath? At least with Strzok the committee had the good sense to do it behind closed doors. That way the congressmen were hidden as Strzok made fools of them. This is pretty much pointless because try as they might they can’t do Sessions’job for him.
When he enters the committee room, arrest him for obstruction and throw him in the detention area under Congress until such time as the documents show up.

Yawn, another stern warning and deadline for the DOJ and FBI to ignore. Every time congress does this and does nothing about non-compliance the more is just emboldens them. If you aren’t going to follow through on your threats then just shut up.

When he answers No the follow up should be “Well we were and we are representing The American People and their right to know exceeds any authority you claim for yourself and your department. Now, on behalf of the American people I ask when the investigation began.
I have a feeling that there’s going to be a bloodbath the day after the election. You’re going to see a lot of crooked bastards losing their jobs...
...and Sessions, Rosenstein, and Wray will be at the top of the pink slip list.
