31% Think U.S. Civil War Likely SOon

Most voters fear that political violence is coming from opponents of the president’s policies, just as they did in the second year of Barack Obama’s presidency, and nearly one-in-three think a civil war is next.

Thirty-one percent (31%) of Likely U.S. Voters say it’s likely that the United States will experience a second civil war sometime in the next five years, with 11% who say it’s Very Likely. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 59% consider a second civil war unlikely, but that includes only 29% who say it’s Not At All Likely. Civil Wars are nasty, brutish, events. Hell, we'll still not over the effects of our first one.

Any civilized person should avoid this as humanly possible.

Pondering that, I’m not sure I agree. My tribe, western europeans that were not ‘to the manor born’, but yearned for freedom and opportunity, accomplished more in 180 years than all those that came before them. If my tribe is not weighed down by the parasites and leeches attracted by the ability to grift free stuff because of my better nature, we’ll do fine.

If anyone is wondering where this is going, one look at world history will show you that no country such as ours with a diverse population of different races, languages, and religion has long survived.

Countries don’t naturally form with a diverse population, and when in the past they’ve occurred it’s usually been as a result of armed conquest. These unnaturally formed countries have either melted together into a single population made up of one mixed race with one language and one religion or they’ve come apart, and they’ve usually come apart with extreme violence.

The longer these diverse populations were forced to coexist with one another without mixing and becoming one, the more the hatred grew among them and the more violently they broke apart, but break apart they did, or genocide has settled the issue once and for all.

The problem as I see it is that you don’t have moderate democrates even if they generally keep quiet and out of trouble, I know people who used to be independents or moderate democrats who have been radicalized by the media. These people, some of whom have voted for republicans in the more distant past will now raise a fist to redhen. I’ve heard these ‘soccer mom’ types use some very hateful and even violent words for people like Sarah Sanders and Kellyanne Conway. The don’t just say the crazy words, they actually feel that these people are social traitors on part with Nazi, and they have zero historical perspective on the difference between policy positions and Genocide.... because CNN actually brainwashed them to. They think Obama care was a wonderful compassionate savior to the American people, and when I try to tell them that mostly all it did was mandate over-priced and scarce hard-to-maintain policies by penalty of the IRS and did nothing good for most people that they couldn’t do for themselves if they chose too, they ask me where *I* get my information, but can’t really argue with me except to bring up subsidies for the poor. These are the people who actually think that child seperation was a brand new thing, never happened before, and it’s cruel and intolerable. They never gave a whim or care about those children until MSNBC told them too. And they are ANGRY like they are programmed to be.

So, are middle-aged suburban housewives going to be mowing down Americans in some future civil war just because they have been radicalized? No. But it’s easily conceivable to me, given their lack of ability to critically analyze the emotionally charged “information” they are being fed and the radical state of reactionism they have cultivated, that they would be willing to support such activities financially or otherwise, should things ever escalate to that level some day.

I know this sounds like loony conspiracy crap on it’s face, but I think segments of the media are fomenting a fanatic level of anger and hatred among formerly moderate people, and they are doing it knowingly. I don’t think they want civil war though. They want everyone who doesn’t agree with them to be suppressed. They don’t want to come to bloodshed, they just want the oppression necessary to achieve their vision. Of course, they don’t even see it as oppression, nor do they think it’s hate. No matter who angry, irrational, and violent their side gets, they actually believe this is some sort of existential war.

(Personally I think we are a full generation from civil war—don’t see it happening until after a full blown economic collapse).

I still can’t envision how an American CWII would work though.

Way back when the government deployed it’s military to stop an uprising / disobedience in the south. The southerners were told that the military was enroute to take their land.

Both sides had justification to fight. Today there are MANY cities and communities who completely ignore the law. And the enemy isn’t over the line - it’s our neighbors.

The only thing I would see is leftists picking spots throughout the country, attacking and killing those who appear to be conservative and the conservatives responding by destroying companies and groups that work against us. So burning down buildings and the like.

But those aren’t the acts of a war. They are acts of terrorism. And you can bet your bottom dollar that the Conservative wouldn’t burn down a building that had people in it. The enemy would rebuild and keep going.

The left however is ultra-violent and feel justified in their attacks and even, soon, murders. The White House would simply need to declare that the CPUSA and it’s democrat legislators (Of which they are all CPUSA endorsed now) are illegal and will be locked up.

It would leave more than half of the Congress empty. But the job of the President is to preside over the congress. The congress is way, way out of line (All of them, really) and the President needs to do something about this that is inline with the constitution. And the Constitution gives the president no authority whatsoever to kick people out of congress. Only to veto their garbage laws. This doesn’t solve a problem, it kicks it down the road.

Anything we do to stop this war from coming will be considered an act of terrorism. It will be a tough one, that’s for sure.

I refuse. I won’t “come together” with the enemy even in the same room.

They are the enemy. They aren’t our countrymen. They live next door, but they are no neighbors.

I can’t come together with them on anything. It’s like asking me to consider what Satan has to say and open a civil debate about it.

These people kill babies in utero. My compassion nor my communication will happen. I will only talk to them with my fist.

I just wish the media would take call-ins so we could constantly make fools of them. I love the recent Mark Levin video going around where he starts with a NorDUH O'Donnell comment and then shouts, not true and goes on to explain why NorDUH is a DUH.

Oh, but you will be weighed down by those folks. Because your tribe is losing its voting power, while the other tribes are gaining.

America has always had its “tribes”...Italian-Americans, Polish-Americans, etc. In the old days that was played down. An immigrant grandfather saw himself as Polish-American. His son saw himself as an American, of Polish heritage.

And his son sees himself as an American, the same kind of American as is the grandson of a Chinese immigrant.

But now the different tribes are playing up their differences. La Raza, BLM, etc. So nope, it doesn’t look good long-term.

(Again, sorry for the pessimism. Maybe it’s due to the cheap coffee I’ve been drinking lately.)
