Just heard that the red hen was supposed to be open today but that opening has been delayed until July 5.

I hope Stephanie sobs all night long.

I hope her blame for anyone but herself did nothing to quiet her pain.

Let’s raise a toast to her throwing things at her husband and screaming at the TV.

Hope the kids are safe from her.

When they advertise, I bet they forget to include the Commie Red Hen.

The Lexington Downtown Association threw the Be-Ouch under the bus.
There were protests this afternoon in front of the restaurant.
It was supposed to reopen at 5, but is still closed.
Hope the gay servers are enjoying their soon to be
smaller pay checks. Much smaller.

The ironic thing is that the student bodies of W&L and VMI actually skew a lot more conservative than is normal for young people. People might expect that from a military academy, but W&L has long had a reputation for conservatism. Even now, a poll on Niche shows 46% of people discribing the university student body as “conservative” and 32% as “very conservative.” (https://www.niche.com/colleges/washington—and—lee-university/students/) There’s also a thread on College Confidential asking, “Is Washington & Lee University intolerable for a liberal.” (https://talk.collegeconfidential.com/washington-lee-university/1831505-is-washington-lee-university-intolerable-for-a-liberal.html)

The unfortunate thing is that academia being the left-wing bastion that it is, most of the professors still are on the left. They’re the ones that could afford to eat at such an overpriced place as the Red Hen. They’re also the sort not to be bothered at all by what the owner did.

I am a kind person. But I show her no sympathy for her bitter self inflicted wounds.

Who will serve dinner today?
Not I, said the little Red Hen.

A guy actually threw manure on the restaurant today. Stupid thing to do. He quickly became a good acquaintance of the sheriff.
