It's Time For The United States to Divorce Before Things Get Dangerous
The Federalist ^ | April 10, 2018 | Jesse Kelly

Posted on 06/26/2018 5:52:30 AM PDT by all the best

The GOP has many problems, but the Democratic Party has turned into something completely un-American. The United States was founded on two things: Judeo-Christian values and a limited federal government. The entire platform of modern Democrats stands completely opposite both of those.

This is the party that booed the very mention of the word “God” at their 2016 convention. This is the party whose candidates openly “joke” about killing anyone who won’t turn in his weapons. Their senators joke on national TV about killing the U.S. president, and the host responds by clapping like a seal. The 1960s counter-culture liberal protestor who just wanted free weed and an end to the war in Vietnam has been replaced by a man who hunts down Steve Scalise and tries to kill him at baseball practice. The Left is not playing games. They are getting bolder, and they are getting more violent. They have no interest in rational compromises. Like all authoritarian ideologies, they want you to bow down before them or be destroyed for daring to resist. If you believe in God and limited government, here are the entities that now proclaim their hatred of you in full view of the public: The Democratic Party, media, Hollywood, the public education system, and now even corporate America. The GOP may have the House, Senate, and presidency, but we have completely lost the culture war. It does not have to be this way. There is a difficult, but ultimately peaceful path that ends with everyone getting most of what they want. We divide the nation in two. We can and will draw the map and argue over it a million different ways for a million different reasons, but draw it we must. I’ve got my map, I suspect the final draft would look similar.

OK< I realize he made the northern tier of the Midwest part of the east and west coast snobs, but really, does he think North and South Dakota are happy with the liberals of DC? Minnesota is going Red this year. None of the Midwest belongs with the east coast snobs, except maybe Illinois.

For the most part, I agree. But they cannot have my beloved Dodgers!!!

Simple solution: Back to Brooklyn, where they belong.

When there were country break-ups in the 20th century, it often entailed forced population transfers.

E.g., after WW2, when Poland annexed eastern parts of Germany, and Czechoslovakia got back the Sudetenland, millions of Germans were kicked out.

Also, when Greece and Turkey had their war after WW1, there were large population transfers of ethnic Greeks from Turkey, and ethnic Turks from Greece.

So it’s not just a simple matter of dividing the US into red and blue parts and be done with it.

So if you consider solving the civil strife in the US by a radical measure such as dividing the country in two, with the intendant massive population transfers, why not instead keep the US one country and just do one transfer — transfer the liberals somewhere else.

The problem is the internet and social media.

Back around the turn of the century I was posting here and it dawned on me: Imagine the internet was around during WWII. After every battle in the battle of Britain, you’d have germans and british goading each other on forums. “You sure dropped a lot of bombs on London. Too bad you didn’t hit anything.” Etc.

The problem is that all the walls between the two sides are removed. Television did this as well. It used to be that the poor lived in their poor neighborhoods and made do, and could actually be quite happy. If you have a roof, clothing and food, everything else really is relative.

Then everyone got a TV. The poor were inundated with commercials for products they could never hope to afford. They got depressed and eased the pain with drugs. Sure, this is VERY simplistic, but you get the idea.

The sides are constantly in each other’s faces on social media and forums, and the left is acting out whenever they lose. And the more they lose, the more they act out, causing them to lose more. And they can’t win arguments on the internet because their position is based on emotion.

So this will pop. The only question is when.

“Cable companies”

Yup, they have become part of the problem instead of part of the solution—and I used to work in that industry before CNN went over to the dark side.

CV1 (Late Unpleasantness) was about divorce. The South never wanted to conquer the North.

At a restaurant last night I overheard two couples in their sixties at the next table. They were talking about the Democrats and one of the men said “I’m sick of it. Thus is about to explode.”

Trump supporters can’t express their support in public for fear of being attacked. Even in Texas where we could use deadly force, we know a liberal judge would likely hang us. But I believe before long Trump supporters will begin to “speak out” publicly. And the anarchists won’t like what happens.

I like your idea. I have basic+. No FOX or CNN. But for some reason it’s got MSNBC and few Gay Channels. I blanked them out so the grandkids can’t see them.

I think you nailed it bro. As soon as the “divorce”’occurs, those ass hats 🎩 would be invading our side. I just don’t see any way around a ton of bloodshed. I hope most of the blood is from libtards.

Sure. Un huh.

More insanity and utter fantasy.

Does any rational person really believe that the millions of Conservatives/Christians/Republicans and the millions of Liberals/Atheists/Democrats who would find themselves trapped behind enemy lines on this "map" would suddenly go along with the "borders" and accept this?

The same insanity goes for any other "map" boundaries someone wishes to draw.

This is NOT 1860. States that today cannot agree upon simple things would not, and could not, hope to achieve agreement to this kind of "unity" of new borders in a divided America.

The Enemy is in every state, every city, every town, every municipality, every neighborhood, and every home.

The author is doing nothing less than engaging in mental masturbation through his blog. He wants to build Utopia circa 2018.

Good luck.

I quit caring about the Dodgers in the mid 80s along with the rest of big sports.

The only MLB outfit I ever liked.

You are not looking at it correctly. The ones that want to leave will leave. You can’t just melt away the states. Don’t Braken me.

As much as I would like to wave a magic wand and get rid of The Leftist, I’m not willing to concede one inch of ground to them. The Balkanization of the U.S. is not the answer. It didn’t turn out to well in Yugoslavia. The Left would probably make some treaty with Russia or China or some other foreign entity to post their troops on our border on the North American continent. That would not end well.

The rest of Illinois hates Chicago and would split from them. The rest of New York hates NYC. The rest of Florida hates Miami, the rest of Washington hates Seattle, most of Oregon hates Portland, the rest of Virginia hates Occupied Northern Virginia, much of California hates The LA to Oakland coastal strip.

These states would probably need to split up.

I download whatever I want from the internet for free with no commercials. I get Sling for 4 months per year just for college football. Then I drop it. I watch tons of movies and programs.
