Maybe they will look more real if the maker spends more money on making them?
Due to the bitcoin mining craze a year ago there should be many supercomputers lying around that are no longer viable for mining bitcoin, but if someone drops $100k on electricity to make a really good deepfake video on them then perhaps it will be good enough to fool a lot of people?
I have to admit I have been wondering about the Pelosi, Schumer response to Trump speech video if that could have been deep fake. Obviously everyone commented on how something seemed wrong with them.
1. The tech improves daily.
2. They aren’t necessarily showing us their best stuff.
3. They don’t have to fool everyone, just enough people. “You can fool all of the people some of the time, .....”
4. The deception doesn’t necessarily have to be perfect or “undebunkable”. Often, they just need to create chaos for long enough to accomplish their goals. A deep fake released a day or two before an election may not allow enough time to debunk it before it does its damage. But the damage will have been done.
5. One major goal of the left is to be able to claim that REAL videos are deep fakes. So getting this information out in public will allow them to make people doubt. If videos of HRC committing crimes are circulating, you can be sure the left will be crying “fake”.
“One major goal of the left is to be able to claim that REAL videos are deep fakes.”
Which brings me back to wondering about that Pelosi, Schumer video. If it was fake, they could easily announce to the world how everyone had been fooled, how do we know they are not again.
This is a REAL video ;-)
