Either course would lead to the death of the Islamic Republic.
This is compounded by the fact the regime isn’t in a position to reward and protect its core supporters.
If it can’t rely on them, upon whom can it rely? It seems like its days in power are numbered.
But it should be remembered a dying animal can be a cornered and dangerous one.
