The Washington Post editorial board defended White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Sunday after she was kicked out of a Virginia restaurant.
The never-at-rest social media has blurred the lined of public and private life, the newspapers board wrote.
It wasnt the first time recently that strong political feelings have spilled into what used to be considered the private sphere, the editorial board wrote. We understand the strength of the feelings, but we dont think the spilling is a healthy development.
Earlier this week, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsens dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C., was interrupted by protesters.
The same thing happened days later to Trumps top immigration adviser, Stephen Miller, who was called a fascist while dining at another Mexican restaurant.
We nonetheless would argue that Ms. Huckabee, and Ms. Nielsen and Mr. Miller, too, should be allowed to eat dinner in peace, the editorial board wrote.
The editorial came the day after Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) called on her supporters to continue confronting Trump officials in public.

What about the MSM blackout by the gay fascist who booted Christian activists out of his coffee shop? Where was the call for civility then?

The Washington Post is worried that when they come out to visit middle America, they may not be able buy food or gas up their vehicle. What is good for the goose and all...
There is rage on our end. They always play the victim and gin up hysteria when someone offends them in the slightest.
1958: No Coloreds Allowed
2018: No Republicans Allowed
Democrats never change. Never.
“We nonetheless would argue that Ms. Huckabee, and Ms. Nielsen and Mr. Miller, too, should be allowed to eat dinner in peace, the editorial board wrote.”
“Nonetheless.” Very chivalrous of Dr. Evil’s WaPo to make this concession. My guess is that the WaPo editorial board had begun thinking that they might get the same guerilla theatre treatment by conservative activists if this isn’t stopped.
Yup, the only reason they're not doubling down on this is that their polling data shows that they're just ensuring a Red Wave Wipeout this November.
Notice that not ONE DEmocrat has been asked abut this!!
Those demONRATZ are just plain wicked & should not be trusted again.
Blacks were not kicked out. They were fed in the kitchen. They probably got better food.
I doubt it.
There's very little substative blowback. The one star reviews will all be deleted. Plenty of leftists will trek a couple hours from DC down to Lexington VA to patronize the bigots. What the Post actually fears is that the vast majority of Americans do not like bigotry in any form. They aren't blowing back against bigots, but instead they will vote out any politicians who support that kind of bigotry.
Liberals like to still have fun regardless of the messes they make.
Sarah is being persecuted because she’s a bible-believing Christian conservative. The godless brownshirt progressives are working themselves up to a final solution frenzy for the problem of bible-believing Christian conservatives.
The left always pretends to be the arbiter of propriety when in fact they are about as classy as Maxine Waters.
I think most people have already caught on to their Jekyll and Hyde personality.
Exactly. That's what the Post is most afraid of. If Dem politicians support bigotry and discimination they will get voted out in November (except for the leftist kooks with no real opposition)
Circulating on the net that ALLEGEDLY a silent partner in the Red Hen is a convicted child molester. Someone claiming to be a former employee posted that but could have been just lying trolls.
Sounds like the workings of the autistics over at the Chans...God forbid if one disturbs that hornets nest of creative, lovable, but viscious trolls.
if (Bake_The_Cake) then {Serve_The_Sanders()};
Just a little C# political statement, there.

Figures; knows a lot about southern hospitality.
They want her to eat in peace after theyve laced the food with poison.
I beg to differ. The sort of blowback in the public relations sphere that matters in the voting booth is definitely reflected on the Internet, and those who ignored it in '16 came to regret it. The playing field has changed, and for those of us on FR that's old hat, but for those in the (very) mainstream media, it's been a topic of intense denial for long enough to cause alarm - perhaps more than it should, but it's there, and they don't know how do deal with it because glib dismissal hasn't worked and neither has defining the problem away by labeling it white supremacy and Nazism. Certain of the smarter heads have lifted the hood on the cyber world and don't like what they're seeing in here. IMHO, of course.
