If we had massively deployed the military down there to turn people back in the first place instead of this trickle of National Guard we’ve seen lately.

A. No illegals entering the country to go through any judicial process at taxpayer expense.

B. No housing of illegals arrested at taxpayer expense

C. No “family breakup” controversy in the media

Exactly. They are invaders at worst, trespassers at best. Either way they are guilty of breaking and entering. Arrest, detain, and remove immediately.

Won’t take long for a policy like this to have a very immediate and long term effect.

Winning! MAGA!

Here is something that bothers me. What if the BP deports US citizens or visa holders who got mixed in with the illegals? Like in the Cheech movie Born in East LA. If somebody doesn't have ID do they check to make sure they really aren't legal?

From xzins:
“We should stop using the word “immigrant”. They aren’t immigrants. They aren’t illegal immigrants. They are illegal border crashers. They are invading armies or gangs.”

Unfortunately, it is not the “way every other country operates” as illegal migrants are crowding into all sorts of countries with different policies in place, only a few countries are currently doing much rapid deportation.

The liberal governments in most of these countries operate on the assumption that there could be a few legitimate cases of oppression so everyone gets to hang around for months or years while the cases go forward. Many just fan out into the society around them, disengage with the asylum process and go under the radar for as long as they can.

I would advocate an even tougher policy, not only deport immediately, but cut off diplomatic relations with countries that produce significant numbers of illegals. Let those governments know that they can resume the diplomatic relations when they have done something about whatever problems at home are causing people to leave in such vast numbers. If it’s gangs running amok, then deal with them, for one thing, as we are seeing, a country that can’t control gangs then becomes a sort of de facto exporter of those gangs to other countries (because that’s what gangs do, they keep expanding their territory until somebody represses them).

The term “illegal immigrant” is a rather poor one to use, it conveys the notion yes these are immigrants but they happen not to be legal. This is wrong-headed, the people are not immigrants at all, an immigrant traditionally has been somebody who applied to travel to a new country, was accepted through a recognized process, and then arrived and tried to make a new life there. Being an “illegal immigrant” is about the same as being a person walking on a freeway being called a vehicle-deprived driver. He’s a walker and no kind of driver.

Trump should give a speech soon to the nation and just say this — you have a choice, the rule of law, or chaos. I am your guy if want the rule of law. If you want chaos, vote Democrat (or RINO).

We should stop accepting asylum seekers at the border. They should have to apply and get processed at a consulate. People seeking asylum should only be allowed in the country if and when their asylum is granted. We would have to gear up our consulates to do this but it would be well worth it, that would eliminate most that are claiming asylum knowing full well they don’t qualify.

As to the others, immigration law now says illegals from Mexico found near the border can immediately be sent back to Mexico, no muss no fuss, done every day. The issue is illegals from other countries are not included in that, so illegals from the rest of the world can demand a hearing even if caught in the act of crossing the border. That needs to be changed for sure.

Those two changes would help a bunch, be a great start to cleaning up the illegal immigration mess.

We also need more immigration judges, but the left has corrupted that process. They are trying to stack the immigration courts with lefties. A lawsuit has already been filed by a person that claims they are qualified to be an immigration judge and were not hired because of their politics. So this is why Trump is hedging on how many immigration judges he wants to hire. If they do open hiring of large numbers (which the liberals want so they can stack the courts) then it will be hard to not hire the rabid lefty judges.

According to Merriam Webster:

Definition of nativity

plural nativities

1 : the process or circumstances of being born : birth; especially, capitalized : the birth of Jesus

2 : a horoscope at or of the time of one's birth

3 : the place of origin

The place, the occasion the process and the fact of my birth makes me a native American.

Many years ago, in New Orleans, fascinated by a kid tap dancing on the street, I was caught in a conversation trap by the little hustler.

He told me He knew where I got my shoes.

For a buck, I bit.

He said, "On your feet"

a very inexpensive lesson as he shot at me, "Never play another man's game"

Wann'a know why President Trump is so loved and talks like a junior high schooler ?

Simple, un mistakable language.

We speak English and we'd better take it back from the public schools who are doing everything they can to make English incomprehensible.

We don't speak truth to power .... we speak English ..... and so does King James.

of course they check first by questioning then checking records claims to citizenship is basic immigration procedure..with a few questions and experienced officer can break an oral false claim in minutes..documented false claims with forged documents may take longer depending on quality of forgery.

1. if the person was a citizen or visa holder they would not get mixed in with illegals it was a movie..fyi visa holders are required to carry their passport or green card with them at all times..

false claim to us citizenship

failure to carry green card person over 18 years old fine up to $100 and or 30 days in jail misdemeanor INA section 264 (e)

Thx. I used to always carry my US passport in Tokyo because they require that by law.

It can be done. Add staff in embassies in Central America to process asylum applications there. Those that prevail and get asylum get flown with their family to the US and put on track to immigrate legally. Those that don’t, ‘bye ‘bye. Those that show up uninvited at the border as is presently practiced, you just boot them out of the country after fingerprinting and photographing them and putting it all in the computer database. How they get back to Honduras, or if they go back is between them and the Ciudad de Mexico, which might let them stay. Or not. Who cares.
