LEESBURG, Va. Gina Anders knows the feeling well by now. President Trump says or does something that triggers a spasm of outrage. She doesnt necessarily agree with how he handled the situation. She gets why people are upset.

What does the drive-by media expect to occur when the opposition is so disingenuous and insincere? You spark a massive firestorm of outrage against Trump using photos that turn out to have been taken long before he even announced for President, let alone took office, a photo saying it depicts a crying kid “ripped from the arms of her mother and carried away screaming” who was never ripped from the arms of her mother, never carried away screaming, was in fact picked by her mother and they have never been separated, and in fact, was separated from the rest of her family by her mother - in addition to the fact you weren’t upset about the same thing happening before Trump too office. Human suffering is only relevant if you can use it damage a political opponent - in fact not even human suffering, just the highlighting of the same - and also your ‘outrage’ was timed to be on top of an IG report so you could justify reducing coverage of it.
I think the CBC coverage is even better than that one.
