Katie Arrington, who ousted incumbent South Carolina Rep. Mark Sanford in a Republican congressional primary this month, was seriously injured in a car accident on Friday -- in a wreck that left one person dead.
In a statement posted to Facebook, her campaign said that she underwent surgery after she was injured when a driver traveling in the wrong direction hit her vehicle. A friend who was also in the car was seriously injured.

Or an “accidently on purpose” for hire?
Thank you Deport
Could some one let Franklin Graham know......he has some great prayer warriors
I assume President Trump knows
P
We have to see if she will be able to campaign. Her name is on the ballot whether she makes campaign appearances or not.
She could withdraw due to health reasons. I think each state has different regulations regarding what happens if a candidate for election withdraws, or is unable to fill the office?
+1
I’ll bet she never withdraws...this young lady id a fighter...just like POTUS, Trump. She will never give up her pursuit to MAGA as long as God allows her to breathe!!!
Arkancide???
You have so much confidence!....very encouraging!
Do you know her personally?
SC is near the top of the list in this country for DUI accidents and deaths. It was on Live PD last night.
This is just horrifying.
I pray for her complete healing and recovery and I pray that she has full time, 24/7 security and food tasters posted, at her hospital, at all times.
This was on Live PD?
Did they show a glimpse of the perp/dead driver? Wonder if it was an illegal.
No....but watching her on TV...let me assure you from this old man...this young lady got the positive MoJo burning inside her. She’s a MAGA champion!!!
Was it a self driving car that hit her?
Oh no! I will pray for her good health and recovery.
Steve Scalise managed to regain strength and health enough to continue in Congress, I pray she recovers enough to get elected.
There are several wrong way fatal crashes every week. None of them have been self driving cars.
Sorry, no the stat about SC being very high on DUI’s. I wasn’t clear on that.
