You seem like a broken record on this and I suspect far greater ties to the kurds.
What you see is what you get.
No Kurd relatives. No DNA connection.
I do have a number of Kurd friends who I have known for years. Also have good Egyptian friends and friends in many other foreign countries. Most of those friendships I made while they had issue of gaining or keeping freedom. Like in Honduras, Iran(2009), Egypt, Libya, Syria. Some in Portugal (related to Libya conflict).
Have been following this type of struggles, since the early 1980’s. Mode of operation has changed with technology. Back then I was toe to toe with surrogates of the Sandinista’s in New Mexico. I was involved in local government there (not my livelihood). Also met some of the Contra supporters from Costa Rico, who came to the US to counter the other influences in New Mexico. They had public meetings that I attended.
Later I followed things in the Balkans in 2 separate spurts. I’d have to spend some time thinking about all of them to not miss something. That is a long timespan. (I’m 70)
I cultivate foreign news sources. Ones that I can trust and I value those friendships a lot. I still share news related to them from the US years after getting to know them. Often Bloggers and News people.
