ERBIL Turkish border police on Thursday arrested a Kurdish member of the Swedish parliament after he arrived at Ataturk International Airport as part of a parliamentary group to observe the upcoming Turkish elections.
MP Jabbar Amin was denied entry at the airport, Swedish Foreign Ministry confirmed.
Swedish news agency TT quoted Amin as confirming his arrest at his arrival. His passport was also taken away before being deported to Sweden.
We have just recently been informed that Jabar Amin has been denied entry into Turkey. We have raised the issue with the Turkish representatives and demand an explanation, said Gunnar Vrang, a spokesman for the Swedish foreign ministry, as reported by Reuters.

I guess they were afraid he might see something that Erdogan must hide.
OMG Fossil. Are you paid for this propaganda? How much are you paid is the better question. Nobody buys this. We are not going to war for the communist kurds. We don’t care what happens to them!!Build the WALL!!
Erdogan wants to exterminate the Kurds. They are good people, on our side, and should get their own country.
Free Kurdistan!!!
Put. The. Bong. Down. And. Step. Away. From. The. Keyboard.

Could you please explain to me what you mean?
.
Agree, they are good people.
I've never had a passport. I owe allegiance to nobody or to any other nation except to the US.
My opinions are mine. Based on the facts as I see them. Syrian Kurds are NOT communist. For the past 4 years, since Kobani I've followed this. I know what has and is happening there.
Have you been drinking?
Right.
You seem like a broken record on this and I suspect far greater ties to the kurds.
What you see is what you get.
No Kurd relatives. No DNA connection.
I do have a number of Kurd friends who I have known for years. Also have good Egyptian friends and friends in many other foreign countries. Most of those friendships I made while they had issue of gaining or keeping freedom. Like in Honduras, Iran(2009), Egypt, Libya, Syria. Some in Portugal (related to Libya conflict).
Have been following this type of struggles, since the early 1980’s. Mode of operation has changed with technology. Back then I was toe to toe with surrogates of the Sandinista’s in New Mexico. I was involved in local government there (not my livelihood). Also met some of the Contra supporters from Costa Rico, who came to the US to counter the other influences in New Mexico. They had public meetings that I attended.
Later I followed things in the Balkans in 2 separate spurts. I’d have to spend some time thinking about all of them to not miss something. That is a long timespan. (I’m 70)
I cultivate foreign news sources. Ones that I can trust and I value those friendships a lot. I still share news related to them from the US years after getting to know them. Often Bloggers and News people.
Well I appreciate your history and background. I am apposed to new world order meddling in the Middle East. I see forces trying to have us kill more of our great military and blow another trillion dollars for nothing in our national interest. I see post after post pushing us to intervene for the Kurds and I get very skeptical.
