UN poverty report blasting Trump uses data from last year of Obama’s presidency (TR)

A recent United Nations report blasting President Trump and America in general for harboring “contempt” and “hatred for the poor” is based on highly inaccurate data that can’t easily be used to compare the U.S. to other nations.

The U.N. report’s main contentions read like an attack on the Trump administration by the Democratic Party: America has 40 million poor people, including 18.5 million who live in extreme poverty; U.S. policies regarding the poor are “cruel and inhuman;” the Trump tax cuts aren’t working and will worsen inequality; and the U.S. needs to spend less on defense of our nation and more on social programs.

Sounds like a list of good reasons to stop funding the UN. We just can't afford to.

Let me see: This UN group is blasting the US because it doesn’t do enough for its poor; yet it probably wants a continued or greater contribution from the US, which would take away from the resources available to help the US poor.

Check.

The United Nations is run by a Socialist - the organization is primarily Socialist.

Guterres was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005.

America and Israel failed to fall in line with that sort of governing, though they thought they had America when Obama did his best to turn this country into a UN Third World nation.

I think President Trump and Secretary Haley did a magnificent job in refusing to serve on the "self-serving", corrupt human rights board.

“”America has 40 million poor people, including 18.5 million who live in extreme poverty;””

Prove it!! We are supposed to believe the OPINION of some uneducated mutt from a ****hole third world country? Sure - any day now! There are so many countries in this world that are so far ahead of us in the stat reported that it’s just head scratching time.

So tired of the UN and their BS. We now need the president to harp and focus on getting the US OUT OF THE UN...Create a new commission or agency and put Ron Paul in charge of getting rid of it! Just like the CFPB agency that obozo and Elizabeth Warren dreamed up..

My! My! - so impressive...Wonder if he’s ever given consideration to working for an honest living!

“”Philip G. Alston is an international law scholar and human rights practitioner. He is John Norton Pomeroy Professor of Law at New York University School of Law, and co-Chair of the law school’s Center for Human Rights and Global Justice. In human rights law, Alston has held a range of senior UN appointments for over two decades, including United Nations Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, a position he held from August 2004 to July 2010. In 2014, he was appointed UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights.””

Take the US out of the UN. Kick the UN out of the US.

How many of those poor are illegal? Fine, then deport them and we’ll have a better UN report... or not.
