"Hey everybody, what's going on? My name is Matt Jarboe and this is the MundaneMatt channel
What we are seeing is probably the beginning phases of what is going to be a big Culture War attack, either coming from the Left over Captain Marvel or comments from the right over comments that were made by it's star.

@brielarson calls for more film critics of color: "I don't want to hear what a white man has to say".

Brie Larson is such a strong woman, she can single-handedly bring down a multi-billion-dollar movie franchise.
I assume you are referring to Fox News. That’s not part of what Disney is looking to buy, just the entertainment portion of Fox.
In response to Brie Larson, thank you so much, I know there are other things more important to me now than paying to see any shit you are in or social engineered by the anti family disney dicks.
Glad Stan didn’t live to see the descent into Hell.
The proof of that was the remake of "Psycho." I guess the people behind the decision that it needed to be remade starring Vince Vaughn, must have felt the original was really, REALLY good, since they used the original screen play, and the same cinematography (except they filmed it in color, something that Hitchcock refused to cave on to the studio demands.)
It was not a particularly good movie, and couldn't hold a candle to the original.

Mar-Vell: Marvel Super-Heroes #12, December 1967.
Carol Danvers: Marvel Super-Heroes #13, March 1968.
Mar-Vell’s Kree DNA infused with Carol’s Human DNA: Ms. Marvel #1, January 1977.
Carol Danvers finally adopts Mar-Vell’s moniker (after being Ms. Marvel, et cetera): July 2012.
Regardlees of the current SJW usurpation, the comic character has a long and legitimate history, including with The Avengers.
I owned Captain Marvel #1 (May 1968) once. (Roy Thomas, Gene Colan)
MCU alone is a multi-billion dollar industry. This is now socio-political propaganda particularly watched by the younger generations, the Americans who will hold tbe future.
Lime it or not, the MCU is going to reach a lot more people than FR.
Since it segues into Avengers IV, the effective culmination of Phase III, and is the introduction of a character from the Silver Age, Captain Marvel will be huge.
After that, if the stars and scripts continue with the SJW onslaught, the MCU could start seeing a Star Wars type of box office failure.
Note Well:
Carol Danvers dates from 1968, and is connected to the original (Marvel) Captain Marvel virtually from the beginning. She was imbued with his powers in 1977. Rendering CM as a female dates from then, not now.
I got a No-Prize from Stan and the Bullpen in 1968.
“brielarson calls for more film critics of color: “I don’t want to hear what a white man has to say”.”
Hey, Brie Larson (whoever you are; I don’t keep up with the “personalities”): I don’t want to hear what a black man has to say.
Does that pretty much even us up?
As I see it, Captain Marvel is taking the role of Adam Warlock against Thanos in the Infinity War; he had the Soul Gem (mirrored in the MCU by Vision with the Mind Stone).
Since both Captain Marvel and Adam Warlock had cosmic connections, it makes some sense.
Actually:
Captain Marvel originally was Fawcett, neither DC nor Marvel.
(In fact, Marvel was not Marvel then, but Timely cum Atlas; Marvel Comics was the name of a specific Timely periodical from around 1940 - sort of like DC, i.e., Detective Comics, became the official name of National.)
DC considered him a ripoff of Superman, sued, and won in the 1950s.
The name became dormant.
Marvel copyrighted it in the 1960s.
DC resurrected the character they once legally disputed, but changed the name to Shazam due to Marvel’s copyright.
Stan Lee is alive, and has had cameos in virtually all Marvel movies.
I doubt he would disapprove. The comics industry is largely a New York leftist milieu.
Didn’t know that. Thanks!
Ah yes, the classic silent film.
I get a little more out of it being a former TV production person.
The amusing thing is that Brie Larson thinks that the fact that she is a woman is going to keep them from putting her up against a wall when the time comes.
The real question is why anyone over 30 and with half a brain pays good money to see these moronic comic book movies? I never have except one Batman movie and.....years ago two Superman movies.
The Batman movie was the one with Christian Bale, Tom Hardy as the villain who was the real star of the movie. I have never watched even one minute of a Marvel Comics movie. When I was little Marvel comic books were trashy and third tier. I never read them. Only read Superman and Batman.
Excelsior!
Merry Marvel Marching Society
I seem to remember a song that went something like:
We belong we belong to the Merry Marvel Marching Society
Step along step along to the Merry Marvel Marching Society.
My best friend was a Marvel person. I was more of a DC guy.
