I actually think Trump flipped this to a win. The uniparty thought they had him backed into a corner: take our bill and we win or veto it and you lose. He said uh-uh, there’s a third choice here. And this is it. Now the trap they set is neutralized.
I do too, although lately I do see the world through Trump coloured glasses lol.
I was ticked about the omnibus spending bill, but I realized that he absolutely had to have a major injection into the military right away, with his North Korea and Iran dealings on the horizon. You have to be believable when taking a tough stance, and a military that is sadly depleted is not terribly threatening. He had to get that in place.
