The FBI is determined to not repeat any of the mistakes identified in a harshly critical watchdog report on the handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, Director Chris Wray said Monday at a congressional hearing at which he repeatedly sought to distance himself from his predecessor.
Wray told lawmakers that the FBI accepted the findings of the inspector generals report and has begun making changes, including about how it handles especially sensitive investigations. The FBI is also reinforcing through employee training the need to avoid the appearance of political bias, a key point of criticism in last weeks report, and has referred employees singled out by the watchdog to the agencys investigative arm for possible discipline.
The report makes clear that we have significant work to do, and as I said, were going to learn from the report and be better as a result, Wray said, even as Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee pounced on its findings to allege rampant bias within the FBI.
The departments inspector general, Michael Horowitz, appeared alongside Wray and repeated the reports central conclusions that the Clinton investigation was plagued by leadership missteps though its outcome was not tainted by political bias.

Theyll use burner phones!
Liar, speaking lying lies.
“Mistakes were made.”
In other words, the political bias will remain, but it will be better hidden. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Fey Wray is NOT an operator providing Hope and Change to the FIB.
The Bubba Clinton excuse: “I didn’t do it; you can’t prove a thing; I promise I’ll never do it again”
Just like the promises of pedophiles, I made a mistake, that is the last childs life I will destroy.
Link Wray would be an improvement.
“but not by me”
They should not be able to make the same mistakes if they are in prison where they belong.
And no one will be punished for past ‘mistakes’.
Yes, getting caught is a mistake they indeed not to repeat....
The odds of someone who ends up dancing at the end of a rope repeating their past “mistakes” are pretty slim.
I wonder what they did to shield the Clintonistas from bring charged for pedo?
Why not?
No one was held accountable, so why make all “mistakes” policy?
The FIB is hard at work creating new and more ingenious mistakes!
Nothing to see here.
