Raj Shah leaked that story about Sarah Huckabee Sanders leaving the WH to drive a wedge between her and POTUS, so he could hopefully get her spot.Shah, a former Republican National Committee staffer, is known for marginalizing the independent media in press-related matters, instead favoring the corporate mainstream press.Raj thought by including himself in the article, it'd throw people off the trail.
My WH sources all laughing about this.
Raj Shah is an ardent NeverTrumper who was the subject of a masterful Olivia Nuzzi piece in New York magazine exposing him for calling Trump “deplorable.” The piece included a vociferous defense of Shah from Hope Hicks, the former right-hand day-to-day woman for President Trump.

This is and will be a recurring problem for the Trump administration.
Most professional politicians would already have a loyal core staff that they have worked with for years, dealing with the kind of issues Trump’s revolving staff is having trouble with.
Reagan, Clinton, Obama and and even Carter had this when the moved into the West Wing.
Trump’s daughter and Jared are the only people he may trust completely, which is troubling considering their leftist leanings.
Trump may get this situation settled by his second term. In previous administrations, this is the term a lot of loyal “spearcatchers” would retire or be fired.
