Wray is a lawyer. He was asked if he thought Mueller is on a witch hunt. So he feels completely honest in saying no. He was not asked if he thought Mueller had a case.
But you would never pry the truth out of the man either way. Just about anyone with a 110 IQ could do a better job.
He inherited this FBI. He wants to save it from the abuses that his predecessors did and is fully supportive of draining the swamp. My opinion.
Small point: he didn’t let them go for their bias against Trump, he let them go because he knew their bias was about to be made public.
The trouble with Wray and Sessions is that they don’t believe obstruction of justice applies to them. They should be reminded otherwise. Cruz almost went there today.
I 100% hope you’re right. The upper levels of both the FBI and the DOJ need a good overhaul and complete change of mindset. Most of all they need to vacate any hyper-partisans; including right wingers. Those two agencies are supposed to be professional doing their work in a non-biased manner. That doesn’t mean they can’t have personal opinions; just that they must be kept separated from the work.
I know I’m preaching to the choir. Just wanted to get that out there. Frickin’ obama ruined every branch of government. He had lots of help though. It just confirms leftists can never be trusted to operate politically in a professional manner. It’s always about the end result to them. The manner in which they get that power they crave so much is unimportant to them. It’s important to us and most Americans though.

I can’t see a swamp creature wanting to drain the very swamp they inhabit. Just the little I have watched with Wray speaking he is indeed a Deep State swamp dweller. No question about it. The idea you’re giving him the benefit of the doubt is the same mistake many have made of the GOPe for years.

There is no legal authority for Mueller, a special unlimited counsel to operate under. Show me the law. Mueller does not have more authority than DOJ AG who appointed him. Show me to law.

Ok. But, throughout all of this, it seems to me(at least) that the President knows more than it would seem. I’m thinking he knows Wray is one of them, but is keeping tabs on him in some way. Whereas, had he brought in someone from the outside, say an former high ranking NYPD guy, it would be hell getting that guy through the confirmation process, even though he’s probably more qualified than anyone that has ever held the position. Just my 2 cents.

The best case scenario for Trump has always been to prolong the Mueller investigation but at the same time discredit it as a political witch hunt.
It’s good politics for Trump - pure gold. Why would he want to end something that is scoring him huge political points by establishing him as an innocent victim, and casting his enemies as political assassins?
Meanwhile, the biggest irony of all is that although there is nothing for Mueller to find on Trump, his work opens the door to cross examination - thousands of conversations, testimonies, documents and timelines - all codified and available to be repurposed for use in other investigations - it can’t help but shine light on the true criminals - the crime of the century - wherein Obama weaponized the entire executive branch to rig an election for Hillary Clinton.
The deep state is literally digging its own grave - I suspect before too long it will be the Democrats and Mueller himself calling for the end of the RussiaGate investigation when they finally realize they’ve been played. They set up a trap for Trump and then walked right into their own trap.
