Apparently, all children of the world should be allowed to roam the country freely.
Laura Bush wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post of all places against President Trump on Sunday. She was silent during the Obama years.
“I live in a border state. I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel,” Bush wrote. “It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.”
She continued on by comparing the separated children’s “shelter” to World War II Japanese internment camps.

I would have to sadly agree. I used to be a big supporter. And the more I learn about suspicious connections with the Clintons and CIA programs when Bush headed the agency, his Yale days and Kennedy connections I wish they’d take the Clintons and set up shop somewhere in Haiti.
So there are two options, 1) put the parents in jail and separate the kids, or 2) don't the either parent or child in jail.
The people who say we shouldn't separate the kids want option 2. Law and order types want the parents prosecuted because they are breaking the lay, which results in the forced separation because of the judge's ruling.
Sheesh, and just when you thought that you had enough of all that Bush crap, another one comes along to further infuriate you..

Yet another advantage to having Trump in office. If her husband or brother-in-law were president, they would have fallen all over themselves to issue executive orders reuniting the families and putting them up at taxpayer expense at the Four Seasons. Then George or Jeb would have gone on the news to babble about good-hearted people and acts of love, with Laura looking on vapidly.
Laura should open up her heart and adopt a few dozen of these kids. She can take them into her residence. They have the resources.
Laura Bush is a killer. Since she likes to play that game.

They're separating them from the adults that bring them over illegally. The law was enacted to PROTECT the children, many of whom were being brought in by coyotes to sell/deliver to sex traffickers or by the sex traffickers themselves.

Mothers of Children Killed by Illegal Aliens Send Plea to Trump
A group of families who have lost children to illegal alien crimes sent an emotional plea to President Donald Trump about immigration on Jan. 3.
The group, called Advocates for Victims of Illegal Alien Crime (AVIAC), said in an open letter that they are a small portion of Americans who have “paid the ultimate price” due to lax immigration policies.
So, Laura. Come up with a workable solution that doesn’t involve turning illegal aliens loose in this country, and we will critique it.
I can’t believe I supported and defended this worthless bunch for so long.
