House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy said that House Speaker Paul Ryan led a meeting with senior Justice Department and FBI officials Friday, and claimed he “made it very clear” the House will use “its full arsenal of constitutional weapons to gain compliance” on outstanding subpoenas.
“I don’t want the drama,” Gowdy said , adding that contempt of Congress is on the table. “I want the documents.”

And if they don’t produce the documents, he will taunt them a second time.
The Power of the Purse is the only real weapon they have - and they won’t use it because they aren’t conservatives.
You know, I really liked Trey Growdy. I really did. I watched him grill some obviously criminally bad people in hearings on You-tube. But, while that was entertaining to see him verbally whip them in public, when I actually checked what happened...
...I was disheartened.
Nothing, absolutely nothing was done. No financial penalties. No jail time. No seizing of property. No removal of licenses. No prison time.
He’s all talk and no action. Talk talk talk, but do nothing.
I, for one, am tired of it.
Trey’s gonna fight them - the gloves are off... do YOU think the left would see these comments as ‘hateful’ and biased?
