An FDNY psychologist who says Donald Trump once crudely insulted her looks has diagnosed him as mentally unfit to be president.
Suzanne Lachmann claims her brief encounter with Trump — and her work treating FDNY firefighters after 9/11 — qualifies her to make the pronouncement.
Lachmann recently tweeted that she “met Trump personally,” and that her work with the Bravest to “determine who must be taken off line due to mental duress,” justifies her conclusion that the commander-in-chief must go.

1) she is not a medical professional practicing medicine without a license
2) she is a medical professional making a medical diagnosis without a proper consultation
3) she is a medical profession who is making a diagnosis and releasing it to the public without the patient’s authorization a clear violation of HIPPA

The Goldwater Rule. Section 7 of the APA Principles of Medical Ethics. It is unethical for *psychiatrists* to diagnose public figures they haven’t examined or from whom they have not obtained consent to discuss their supposed *condition*.
Therapists and psychologists are trying to argue the Rule only applies to psychologists, not to them. This, of course, is nonsensical.
