Federal prosecutors indicted Elizabeth Holmes on criminal fraud charges for allegedly defrauding investors, doctors and the public as the head of the once-heralded blood-testing startup Theranos. Federal prosecutors also brought charges against the company's former second-in-command.
Holmes, who was once considered a wunderkind of Silicon Valley, and her former Chief Operating Officer Ramesh Balwani, are charged with two counts conspiracy to commit wire fraud and nine counts of wire fraud each, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California said late Friday. If convicted, they could face prison sentences that would keep them behind bars for the rest of their lives, and total fines of $2.75 million each.

Actions have consequences. I hope you like the color orange and like wearing jumpsuits, Ms. Holmes. I doubt the D.O.C. offers those in turtlenecks though.
Elon Musk may not be far behind her.
Elizabeth Holmes had a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton and is a big time donor to the Clinton Foundation gee I wonder if the Commie press will report on that lil tidbit
We could but hope.
But hey, she’s a WOMAN and whatta entrepreneur! Accolades!
Plus, she fund raised for hilLIAR !!

Typical dishonest LIB loser criminal with no integrity. I hope this retrograde putz serves time for her crimes.
It’s been alleged that even her deep voice is fakery.
I can only imagine what the mood was like around the Holmes and Balwani’s the night Hillary lost. Hopefully they were having an election night party or as Trump said turned out to be a funeral.
Holmes has participated in Clinton Foundation events, including a January 2015 Health Matters Summit that also included Donald Trumps in-law and Oscar Health co-founder Josh Kushner. This past September, Holmes also spoke at the Clinton Foundations Future of Impact event in New York City.
Chelsea Clinton, who has been hitting the campaign trail on her mothers behalf, is one of the key figures at the Clinton Foundation and for the Clinton Global Initiative.
Holmes partnered with Chelsea for a 2016 hillary fund-raiser.

“Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes charged with criminal fraud, conspiracy”
I’m not interested. Just let me know when the Big Balla DOJ/FBI go after the world’s biggest criminals like Hillary, Obama, Soros, etc.
That must have been deep. /s
No. The technology didn't exist.
I am not really a Musk fan, and his real business model is using government guarantees to help him sell shares publicly.
But, his technology does actually work. You might not want a Tesla, but I see daily evidence that they get folks from point A to point B. In fact, electric drive technology has a lot of very big advantages [high torque, dynamic braking, distributing a lot of weight on the wheels rather than suspending it from a chasis, etc.). It's "only" downside is the problem of battery storage.
“Elon Musk may not be far behind her.”
That make no sense. Not even close in comparison.
Interesting.
Do you have a link for it. (Not because I don’t believe it, I want to reference it).
“Elon Musk may not be far behind her.”
How so? He’s selling a product that actually works, even though it’s not really cost-effective presently. I was in McCarran, Nevada not long ago, where our family business supports Tesla’s battery plant construction. Musk has built 3 million square feet of mfg. space on his way to 12 million. He has created a new town out in the desert!

Whether he successfully makes money for investors is yet to be determined. But investors know the risks. And offering risky investments doesn't make Musk guilty of fraud.
Watch her on the Mad Money episode right after the WSJ story broke, and you can hear it for yourself. She starts out with that weird deep croak, but by the end of the segment, she forgets, and sounds like any other young woman.
even more than knowing about it from the start, she and her cohorts actively lied to investors, partners, and folks being tested, as well as covering up everything possible, and consistently and massively intimating their own employees to stay mute ...
this woman is a sociopath and i sincerely hope she goes to prison ...
