I never had much use for this limousine liberal.
Never saw the attraction some had for him.
I cannot abide snarky smart asses, anyway...and he had that in spades.
I wish him no ill...may he RIP, but as he himself would say...Xinh loy, which is the snark VN for "sorry about that".
You hated yourself so much you killed yourself, so...no one to blame but yourself.

Bourdain was complicated and inconsistent. In spite of visiting Cuba and making no unfriendly references in the episode to the Castros, Bourdain slammed Nicaragua's Ortega regime on his visit there. He pointed to Daniel Ortega's large residential compound on a hilltop as the source of Nicaragua's poverty and other troubles. He even named and referred to Daniel Ortega as a billionaire dictator.
Perhaps the explanation is that as to Cuba, Bourdain was bound by CNN's house policy of coziness with Castro, while his comments against Ortega more accurately reflected a genuine hostility toward corrupt dictators. Indeed, CNN may have edited out comments by Bourdain that were hostile to the Castros.
