Awan was a congressional IT staffer. Numerous members of his family joined him on the congressional payroll. Now he is awaiting trial for bank fraud. What started in 2016 as an investigation into equipment and data theft has evolved into a case about falsely obtaining home equity loans and sending money to Pakistan.

As the probe evolves, there have been dozens of shocking reports about the family’s activities and access. The plot twists have spawned numerous conspiracy theories. Awan’s lawyer Christopher Gowen says that all these reports are complicating the trial. “Every time we think it’s done, Johnny-on-the-spot over there at the Daily Caller writes something and we have to start back into this investigation,” he says of Luke Rosiak, the investigative reporter at the Daily Caller News Foundation who has done the most work on the case. “Every single thing that has been alleged, hypothetically, by the Daily Caller has been investigated thoroughly.”

Imran Awan, born in Pakistan in 1980 but a naturalized U.S. citizen, started working on the Hill in 2004. His brother, Abid, soon joined him. Awan’s wife, Hina Alvi, came on board in 2007, and his younger brother, Jamal, began in 2014. Abid’s friend Rao Abbas was also added to the congressional payroll in 2012. The five were “shared” employees and worked for dozens of House Democrats. Over the course of several years, the group earned millions of dollars.

I don’t think they were into that kind of relationship. I do believe that her campaign money was helping in some way to launder out-of-country funds, and she likely was helping in various ways to help launder millions per year.

If Awan does go and make real statements....it probably would bring down some folks within the DNC, and require some kind of hearings (something that DWS really doesn’t desire).

Sheesh. Put a known con man in charge of the email accounts of 40 congress critters use to talk to each other and conduct business. A criminal with dual citizenship in Pakistan, who gets his numerous family members on the payroll, making triple what they would ordinarily make.

There seem to be many things going on concurrently with DWS and Awan. Why did she do it? Love or money? Both? I think she has the hots for him, and he used that to play her to infiltrate the government. Like those inmates who schmooze the church ladies to get them to help prison escapes.

During Sept 2016, The Awan clan continued to use Cong Xavier Becerra’s House Democratic Caucus computers in anomalous ways:

Keep in mind that as the Awan clan worked Democrats' intel, D/W/S was a big shot, riding on AF One with Obama---heading the DNC----who mentored the Awan clan and facilitated huge paychecks for them....a group that was not particularly trained in IT.

A huge mystery is how the shady Pakis got visas to abscond----did "someone" with a lot of pull facilitate the visas to help them abscond? Some say the Pakis traveled on WH visas.

(A) leaving a laptop with the username RepDWS (Debbie Wasserman Schultz) in a phone booth after he was banned from the House network;

(B) an arrest at Dulles airport with a suitcase full of cash.

(C) alleged House congressional fraud amounting to millions of dollars,

(D) hundreds of “Suspicious Activity Reports” detailing unusual transfers from Imran’s numerous bank accounts.

Democrat Cong Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s curious relationship with Pakistani Imran Awan was well-hidden. Awan was D/W/S's top IT aide. He was arrested while absconding to Pakistan after a wire-transfer there of almost $300,000. Daily Caller's ace reporter, Luke Rosiak, uncovered that the Awan clan were paid $4 million tax dollars since 2010, apparently facilitated by D/W/S.

Wasserman Schultz has been especially uncooperative. She refused to fire Awan until after he was arrested, even though Capitol Police had already revoked Awans’ access to the congressional IT system in February in relation to a major security breach.” The federal bank fraud case against Imran Awan,IT administrator for dozens of House Democrats, was delayed again for the 7th time.

Many of the legal delays appear to be related to a laptop Awan left in a decommissioned phone booth in a House building in April last year. The laptop, w/ username “RepDWS,” was accompanied by several copies of ID cards belonging to Awan and a letter he wrote to prosecutors. Awan had been employed by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) -- whose initials (RepDWS) were on the laptop -- since 2005.

HOW MANY US GOVT CHECKS WERE THE AWANS CASHING?
Imran did not live at one of the many rental houses he owned, but his tenant confirmed he used the address to receive personal mail there.......
mail that was often addressed to other names....the names of different aliases he employed.

Still to be ascertained is how many US govt checks the Paki criminal clan were actually cashing at any given time.

ITEM--Imran told people his name was "Alec."

ITEM--Although he lived elsewhere, Imran used one of his rental houses as a mail drop.

ITEM--A renter of the property said Imran received mail at that address under several different names.

ITEM--Some have observed that "Awan" seems to be a made-up name used frequently as an alias.
