Dan Pfeiffer, former assistant and senior adviser to President Barack Obama, thinks he knows the exact date the modern era of fake news was born: April 27, 2011.
“I had walked into the briefing room that morning with 50 copies of Barack Obama’s birth certificate,” Pfeiffer recalls in a memoir, “Yes We (Still) Can: Politics in the Age of Obama, Twitter, and Trump,” set to be published next week. “So we could prove once and for all the man who was in his third year as president after winning an historic electoral landslide was an American citizen and eligible to be president.”
According to Pfeiffer, Obama first raised the idea to release his birth certificate to him while walking to the Oval Office.
“Maybe we should put the birth certificate out and be done with this,” Obama said.
“But you know we can’t do that, right?’” Pfeiffer responded.
Obama said he agreed, but “I could tell he didn’t really mean it,” Pfeiffer writes.
A few weeks later on a fundraising trip to Chicago, Obama spent the night at his home.
“Whenever he was home, often alone, he would root through all his stuff; on this particular trip, he was going through a box and found what he believed was his birth certificate,” Pfeiffer writes. “To this day, it isn’t clear whether he stumbled upon this document or went looking for it. I have always suspected the latter.”
“Excited about his find,” Obama brought it back to the White House and showed it to White House counsel Bob Bauer.
“Bauer took one look at what Obama had in his hand and knew it wasn’t his actual birth certificate,” Pfeiffer recalls. “Instead the president had found a ceremonial document sold in hospital gift shops.

One of the reasons this story will never die is that they keep trotting out bold-faced, easily-refuted lies like this:
“The Obama campaign decided to release Obama’s certificate of live birth — a document commonly issued by hospitals that includes basic information about a child’s birth for record keeping. The information is then sent to the Office of Vital Statistics or the State Register to create an official, or long-form, birth certificate.”
That is very far from an accurate description of the certificate of live birth. It’s actually the precise opposite of correct. The official long-form birth certificate is the original document filed at the time of birth signed by the doctor. The Registrar then codes the information into a database, and the certificate of live birth is the document that you get when they print out the records in the database at any time in the future. The problem is that the original long-form cannot be retroactively changed, but the data can and often is changed, for example, in an adoption.

Obama is not an American citizen and most people who haven’t been drinking the Kool-Aid know it.
Allowing him to take the oath and the office is the biggest Hoax politicians have ever perpetrated on the nation.

The story originated from Zero's own book cover, wherein it stated matter-of-factly that Zero was born in Kenya. It was further fed by Michelle's early comments that Zero was born in Kenya. The person who started the conspiracy was Zero himself.
Somewhere along that search for the certificate, it was said the name of the hospital on the certificate obama showed as his, was not the same name it was called the year he was born. There were other things pointed out that showed it was fake... but the left, the media and the blind public didn’t care where he was born.... the year he came out and I heard his name....I thought, that name is not American and that name will always be on the books as one of the “Presidents of the United States of America!” I didn’t like it then and I don’t like it now.

(BY PURE COINCIDENCE, the former Archivist resigned among a scandal in DEC 2008, just after Obama was elected, and just before he took office. This scandal was not revealed until DEC 2017, after Obama was out of office. The current Archivist has not allowed the release of any Obama records. Hmmm.)
Appoint a new Archivist, make one simple records request (like college transcripts), and ignore the Obama objection (since nothing of National Security importance could be found in a college transcript, right?)... and viola!!!

Hell, just watching the media and the Left HOWL at the simple appointment of a new minor character like an Archivist will be worth its weight in popcorn, before a single release is made.
Why would Zero’s college transcripts be in the National Archives? His colleges grades aren’t part of the national record of his administration.
It seems to me they would still be controlled by the institution where he went to school subject to the same privacy regulations as your transcripts or mine. Meaning the institution can release them only if he gives them permission. (Which he won’t do!) Or a court orders the institution to release them for some legal reason.
I think Zero pre-presidential life has been very carefully hidden behind the privacy laws. Its been very well thought out. Which means he didn’t plan it!
The BC is settled alternative facts.
An innocent man would never respond to such an accusation.
Especially one who holds the highest office in the land.
And certainly not twice using obviously manufactured documents both times.

They even admitted to that on his own campaign website!
The problem then, as it remains to this day, is that there are very few in a position of power (save for Trump) who want to defend the Constitution and the rule of law.
They either want to ignore these issues, or try to explain it in such a way as to absolve themselves from having to take a stand and do the right thing.
It was as self evident then, as it is now.
We can only hope that it’s just what we’d like it to be!
