The day after Donald Trump was elected president, an FBI employee engaged in an “instant message” conversation with an FBI attorney who had worked on the Clinton email investigation, then moved to the Russian meddling investigation, and would later become an attorney working with Special Counsel Robert Mueller on that investigation.
Speaking of Trump’s election, the FBI employee told the FBI lawyer: “You promised me this wouldn’t happen. YOU PROMISED.”
Later, in the same instant messaging exchange, according to the inspector general's report released today, the FBI attorney responded: “I am just devastated. I can’t wait until I can leave and just shut off the world for the next four days.”
This same FBI attorney then lamented that the newly elected Trump would likely dismantle the “progress” the outgoing President Obama had achieved.
“I just can’t imagine the systematic disassembly of the progress we have made over the last 8 years,” he said. “The ACA is gone. Who knows if the rhetoric about deporting people, walls, and crap is true.”
“We have to fight this again,” he went on to say.
“Also,” he said, “Pence is stupid.”
The other FBI employee with whom this FBI attorney was instant messaging expressed his view that Trump voters were "all poor to middle class, uneducated, lazy POS."

Once upon a time I would have agreed with you; however, there are too many odungites at the top now. Mattis may be apolitical but I would say that the majority of flag and general officers are biased.

I'm having some serious doubts.
The funny thing is that they are calling the people who beat them simpletons, smelly, stupid, etc. without pausing to consider what this makes THEM. It is one thing to lose the World Series to a worthy opponent, they are admitting to losing to little league by their own assessment. If they had a brain they would see that they are maligning themselves and would at least wonder how we dummies won. If we had an AG, I'd say that was a matter for the courts to decide. There was bias, there were wrongdoings - it's up to prosecutors to evaluate intent and make the call regarding criminal charges.
Sessions will probably use this as an excuse to shrug it all off.
Yes. I think it is a ridiculous position taken by the IG, who probably is still dodging bullets over the McCabe firing.
The IG’s position here seems to be the same one taken by Comey in his “investigation” of Hillary; which is that no one who wants to keep his job, and perhaps his life, would announce publicly that the whole damn lot ought to be rounded up and jailed.

The scary thing about this is that the FBI knew Hillary was a serial law breaker and they conspired to cover it up and became unhinged when she lost anyway. This is our supposedly elite law enforcement agency. Corrputed to the core, it needs to be disassembled into narrow agences (Federal Bank Robbery investigations squad, Federal Kidnapping Investigations, etc) because it has too much power and has been abusing it in significant ways. And their stonewalling congress even under Trump says it isn’t stopping.
