The report says, “Comey, Baker, and other FBI witnesses told us that they believed the prosecutors were overly cautious about obtaining the laptops because they were intimidated by high-powered defense counsel like [Beth] Wilkinson.”
The report also describes other FBI witnesses who made the same claim — including agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, whose text messages in the report revealed their political bias against Donald Trump becoming president.
“Some FBI witnesses told us, consistent with text message exchanges between [Peter] Strzok and [Lisa] Page, that the FBI was concerned that the line [Network Security Division] prosecutors were intimidated by the high-powered attorneys representing Clinton and her senior aides and, as a result, did not negotiate aggressively with them,” the report states.
It continues, “Strzok told us that Prosecutor 1, who handled most of the negotiations with counsel, is ‘extraordinarily competent,’ but he believed more senior government officials should have been involved with deciding ‘how hard [to] push counsel.'”

Let’s assume Comey’s claim is partly true (although “Honest Comey” doesn’t sound right, maybe the IG made him tell part of the truth in this case). If these prosecutors knew that Obama and the top layers of DOJ were determined to let Clinton off, that might explain why they seemed “intimidated.” And yes, “high powered lawyers” seems like a flimsy excuse. Hillary might have other ways of demanding loyalty that they would be reluctant to mention.
Too many assumes, ifs, mights and maybes. We’ll see what happens.

Fair enough, but to me, the Comey claim is a clue that something is and was rotten in DOJ/FBI/State. They are not likely to reveal the truth unless enough people demand it. And millions still are not interested in anything that would challenge their faith in Obama, Hillary etc. I hope there is an eventual awakening.

FBI - Secy Clinton, would you like for us to investigate if your personal email server that you used to conduct top secrete gov't communications was infiltrated by Putin or other Russian's who you say were "meddling" in our election process?

So to protect Obama, they float the story that Comey was insubbordinate. Then to protect Comey, they claim he was easily intimidated. Which lie are we supposed to believe?

Wonderful post. Let me add to your thinking maybe.It is simple raw communism. Take from the productive and give to the non productive. The reason this is done is to keep them from rioting and killing the elites. in other words , the elites take from us and give to the parasites in order to keep their life style. What was the difference?
The only difference between pro-Clinton DOJ officials and Clinton's personal lawyers is that the DOJ people could be fired or criminally charged for taking the Clinton side. But they thought she would win.
