IMO, Kim has had a taste of the good life, however he will definitely have a problem with China if he tries to ‘Westernize’ North Korea.

It is a very good sign that noko state tv is reporting on the summit and portraying it in a positive light.

I wonder if they will start taking down these posters that are
de rigueur in North Korea.

Even when they showed the crowds lined up to see Kim Jong Un pass by they also showed luxury brands and neon signs. They showed how much nicer and richer Singapore is than North Korea.....fascinating by this documentary because the North Korean showed so much of the impressive city of Singapore -- the skyline, number of planes at the airport and containers at the port, the luxurious settings, the electricity. All unimaginable in North Korea.

So here’s a thought. What if Kim never had a stomach for all of this, including the gulags and other human rights abuses, but being the new Dear Leader is thrust into a situation where he has no option but to play the game because if he doesn’t his generals will take him out. So he’s been biding his time and making moves to eliminate those who would oppose him. So is he an evil dictator/murderer or has he only killed off those that would oppose this new change in direction and can take appropriate actions to stop all of the other madness that has been eating away at his country?
It’s similar to the old question/game that if you could go back in time and kill (name your dictator) except in this instance it may be a question of kill or be killed.
Just throwing it out there as time will tell all eventually.

Wow! This is really amazing. President Trump really Son him over. I expect good things are going to happen, and the MSM will be tied up in their own panties.

I’ve had those same questions myself. Perhaps he’s been killing the people he knew would have been opposed to this, and now he felt safe enough to do it.

You are correct.
The point of the threats was to induce change in the status quo.
Trump played Kim’s game masterfully and the status quo was nudged off dead center.
However, “We’ll See”

That announcer sounds like he’s about to piss his drawers. Wonder if the five people in North Korea who have TVs are saying to themselves...how come all those people have cars??
Too bad this ins’t in English subtitles.
To: caww
I missed understanding a few of the words by the narrator.... LOL

Normally the power is out most of the time in Singapore but they turned it on especially for Kim’s visit.
And everyone got an additional 100g of fish!

"Probably mandatory viewing...wait, they have TV?"
They gave a copy to Kim on VHS, so yes, some have TV's. Don't know if they are color or not though.

That narrator was fantastic. With the music was quite emotive. Very interesting video.

The video was exactly as was needed for the N.Koreans to remain stable while the processes work out......it lets them know things are going to change...the younger people will rejoice..the oldsters will be confused I think.
Kim wants the sanctions lifted badly so this is moving pretty fast....and quite coordinated i must say.

TV;s are pretty common, especially in the cities. That’s how they get propaganda out.
