The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a Minnesota law banning voters from wearing political apparel to the polls, saying it was too draconian in stifling Americans First Amendment rights.
The 7-2 decision said it may be possible for states to restrict stridently political T-shirts and buttons, but the justices said Minnesota didnt justify why its law needed to be so broad.

I once wore a tshirt with a quote from Thoreau on it and was given a ration at my polling place. I’m just fine with this decision.
It's the difference between a voter who is registered at the polling place who shows up to vote, and others who are there simply to advocate without themselves voting.
A registered voter should be free to wear anything they want when they go to vote. If they are there to linger before and/or after, then must comply with ordinances. But during the act of voting, message control could be seen as voter intimidation if one is told that they are wearing the "wrong" message.

Of course they did. They are scum of the earth Marxist/Socialist/Communist enablers and supporters.
They belong at the end of a rope.
Wearing campaign-oriented materials is called electioneering and is forbidden in New Jersey polling places. Wearing patriotic gear is not, until a liberal whines about it, because you KNOW who those patriot types vote for...
It is unclear exactly how many states the ruling could affect beyond Minnesota. Both Minnesota and the group challenging the states law had said there are about 10 states with laws like Minnesotas, though they disagreed significantly on which ones, agreeing only on Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Vermont.

So how and when do we learn if the decision reaches beyond Minnesota?
Once? ONCE? Boy, are you strict!
Your guess is as good as mine, maybe when each state decides what is "reasonable" by the seven justices. I don't know.
I work polls in Nj and never had a issue with what someone wAs wearing in 24 years. Neither did the other 3 polling districts in same school gym.
I personally don’t see a thing wrong with someone coming in to vote wearing a T shirt, sweatshirt or a political button. They can vote and then leave, no problem.
I do see a problem with people hanging around wearing same or carrying political signs, cards, etc. I think this ruling is what this is about but I could be wrong.
Cool, I’m wearing my MAGA hat when I go to vote next time.
