Gee, it reminds me of the Bible story of Balaam’s mule and his curse on the Israelites turned into a blessing.................. LOL - that was the first thing that popped into my head when I heard it!

There used to be a tv preacher on late night uhf that I would sometimes watch and he would get on a "fund drive" and teach about "Balaam’s ass" and beating it.
