Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held a press conference with his Japanese and South Korean counterparts Thursday morning in Singapore to elaborate on the post Trump-Kim summit strategy for denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.
Pompeo called the Singapore meetings between President Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un an enormous opportunity and turning point for advancing North Korea's relations with the U.S., its neighbors in Asia, and the rest of the global community.
Pompeo reiterated that both leaders are committed to complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization before adding that the process would involve considerable coordination with Japan and South Korea.

Seems like a good approach.
Remember we have had serious issues in the past with a number of countries.
History does evolve. Everywhere. Constantly.
Keep our eyes WIDE open. Verify. But sure. Just maybe, Kim is being sincere.
Maybe.
But six McDonalds and two KFCs the instant they prove the nukes are gone.
Then we’ll talk Disneyland Nork...
Trumps quite remarkable in assigning key people to set the stages he wants.....he delegates very well and the difference between a businessman and a politician without business experience. All these countries leaders have watched Trump get hit hard by his own people and still he stands strong and keeps on moving forward.....and keeps on being right....he has proven he can be trusted and they know it. Otherwise Kim would not have taken the risk....nor would the other leaders involved.
This is also why Trump wants Russia involved....Putin has been pretty quiet as Trump operates this.....he actually yanked Lavrov out of N.Korea way early, before the day was even over, Because it was not going well in the news nor among asian leaders. I've always said watch carefully who is seeing who and where....it will give a real good indication of whats happening or possibly coming. It's also a broad look at the whole picture.
But but but Trump got played! He gave everything away and got nothing!
He’s nothing but an egotistical tweeter!
And, of course, Hitler!!!
Part 2....
The Only way Kim can advance his country is by being recognized on the world stage as a leader, change how he behaves, and cooperate with the international community. Or continue living on the edge of war.
His personal chef spoke about when he realized Kim was not going to be like his father...he visited other countries and saw grocery stores full of food and his were empty for the people. He wanted to change this.
That’s why I do believe Trump when he said Kim does care about his country and it’s people.....and he proved he wanted things to change when he ditched those who were opposing his dealing with TrUmp.......and keep in mind China’s grip on N.Korea was just broken by Trump..very important.
“Fear” will always get in the way of anything worthwhile. The media has forgotten they are also ‘sheep’ and startle easily.
That's what little Chucky Shumer said, repeatedly.
Trump outlined the deal and his staff fills in the details after being given guidance; just like a real business man would do.
This is the right and only approach. The norks are not trustworthy and have proven this over and over again
Kim’s still going to have the problem that much of his country will hate his guts. Forgive and forget might not be so easy for them. People might consider relatives’ and friends’ lives more meaningful than all the groceries in the world. I could very easily see Kim forced into exile if not offed.
The suffering of the NK people has been characterized as part and parcel of the great patriotic war that they've been hearing about daily all their lives. The rapprochement with the US will be characterized as a victorious end to the Great War, with all credit accruing to Kim.
He'll be a bigger hero in NK than ever.
That’s been Trump’s stance since early talks about possible meetings with Kim - shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who’s been paying attention.
Well... That might mitigate it at first. But in the longer run he’s likely to incur the anger of those who have woken up to the situation they had been in.
