Fox News host says Kim Jong Un 'got it all' from Trump for virtually nothing in return

Fox News host Shep Smith on Tuesday slammed President Donald Trump for how he conducted himself at a historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, accusing him of giving Kim everything he wanted while receiving virtually nothing in return.

“America demanded complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization. … There’s no guarantee of that, not even words to that effect,” Smith said of the agreement signed between Trump and Kim, which says North Korea will work toward denuclearization but doesn’t offer specific details on how this will occur.

The Fox News host decried Trump for offering his signature to an agreement that only offered “generalities.”

Smith also ripped into Trump for agreeing to halt joint military exercises between the US and South Korea on the Korean Peninsula.

“[Kim] wanted the photos, the seat at the table, he wanted the legitimacy that came with the event, the handshake with America’s president,” Smith said. “And he wanted those military exercises with the Americans and the South Koreans that happen every year to stop.”

“Kim Jong Un got it all, for actually doing nothing,” Smith added.

Shep is NOT impressed by Trump's summit performance

At a press conference following the summit, Trump described Kim as a “talented man” who loves his country and people.

Smith seemed appalled by the way Trump complimented Kim, describing him as a leader “who has committed crimes against humanity” ruling over the most “entrenched land in all the world.”

The Fox News host reminded the audience the UN has characterized Kim as the leader of one of the most brutal and repressive regimes in “modern history.”

Nevertrumpers decry the President for not producing North Korea’s surrender.

That was never in the cards. Peace requires hard work.

It doesn’t come on a silver platter as Shep Smith seems to think.

Trump knows more about deal-making than all of his critics combined.

And the deal he made with the North Koreans is only the first step towards lasting peace on the Korean peninsula.

Shep Smith, He’s an embarrassment.

The U.S can call up snap drills in a week. The cancellation of the joint exercise is a meaningless gimmee as a good faith signal for the promise to continue negotiations. It gives us more opportunity.

The like the TDS touched gasping in horror when white opens with Kn-QB3 instead of P-K4

BREAKING: Trump walks on water.

U.S media responds: Trump can’t swim.

(stole that from Reagan but it’s funny!)

Shep is a degenerate. His degenerate mind will not connect dots correctly. Time for him to go, Roger.

No question.

Kim is a kid surrounded by military leaders who run the show.

Trump is extracting Kim from their grip and wooing him into his secure arms to work a transformational deal that puts Kim in charge of a historic march into modernity.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump pays for a Kim Worton School of finance education to prepare him for the future as the nukes are dismantled, infrastructure built at break neck pace and human rights restored.

...but this is a bash Shep thread, so start bashing! lol

Agreed to give up nukes.

The exact wording was, "Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula." I don't see a specific agreement to give up his nukes in that.

Now if he reneges on his agreements, then Trump can cancel out also.

At what point do you decide he's reneged?

That is how that works.

You did not know that?

Just like that, huh?

I look at it that we got a chance to turn the most dangerous Nation on the planet into a Nation focused on trade and economic growth. It’s not a done deal but it’s a chance we didn’t have before. And we gave away nothing tangible. The recognition is a deposit on account and it will all go away if KJU doesn’t follow through.

A weak person worries about “face”. President Trump worries about a nuclear holocaust and millions dead. He sees potential to turn the area towards being a peaceful economic partner. He risks very little.

Kim’s father & grandfather broke deals, Kim is in a different position, a very young man in a very impoverished country, where the population is starving. Kim has so much to gain for his country with POTUS’ help, he is being offered a real alternative. The gains to us are primarily national security and secondarily an economic partner.
