KENOSHA, Wis. Jill Gilmore is one of those voters who have confounded both Democrats and Never Trump Republicans the most. She is a college-educated, gun-owning female conservative Republican who voted for Donald Trump. But heres the real kicker: She is also a devout Evangelical Christian.
In the list of what is most important to myself and my family, faith is always first, said the striking 34-year-old mother of seven, small business owner, and community volunteer who says she and her husband teach their children daily that behavior and respect towards others is not an option, but a requirement.
Contrast the Gilmore Golden Rule with her vote for Donald Trump who is accused of an affair with a porn star, and who does not have a reputation for politeness and respect for others and her decision stuns the sensibilities of both his resisters and experts.

When God Wants To Drill A Man
When God wants to drill a man,
And thrill a man,
And skill a man
When God wants to mold a man
To play the noblest part;
When He yearns with all His heart
To create so great and bold a man
That all the world shall be amazed,
Watch His methods, watch His ways!
How He ruthlessly perfects
Whom He royally elects!
How He hammers him and hurts him,
And with mighty blows converts him
Into trial shapes of clay which
Only God understands;
While his tortured heart is crying
And he lifts beseeching hands!
How He bends but never breaks
When his good He undertakes;
How He uses whom He chooses,
And which every purpose fuses him;
By every act induces him
To try His splendor out-
God knows what Hes about.

Probably at least as morally upstanding as many who would like to point out his problems.....funny how so many folks seem to think they’re especially good and it’s the rest of humanity with the sinful natures...
“’Not a morally upstanding guy,’”
All this crap about Trump I have yet to hear how he is immoral.
“I thought after Bill Clinton, we werent ever supposed to be concerned about the alleged sexual peccadilloes of presidents?”
That only applies to Democrats, silly. The Left will continue to pound us about Trump, his tone, his personal life, Stormy, the draft. EVERYTHING!!!
but...so sad for them, it has no effect on our support for him. We know he will leave this country in much, much, better shape than when he took office...and that is all that matters.
“Probably at least as morally upstanding as many who would like to point out his problems”
Ali Watkins is the first to come to mind on this. And I’m sure many, many, more.
I see you are tired, well so am I, TIRED OF ALL THIS WINNING ...NOT!!!
I join you in prayer for the for the safety of our President and his family.
Thanks for posting. (Her usual) Interesting article by Salena Zito.
HOORAY Jill Gilmore!!!
Because for them, as with millions of other people, morality didn't enter into it. It was a choice between Trump and Clinton, and for all his many personal failings Trump was still the better choice by a wide margin. I voted for a president. I didn't vote for a priest or a boyfriend.
Thank You for sharing that
Bump for “He Beat Hillary”
There are few surprises with Trump. Deceitful leftists and media act surprised because they are ignorant of his campaign promises or expected them to be lies, as they themselves live is a world of selfishness and hypocrisy. Trump said in multiple ways without a teleprompter Ill be the best friend Christians ever had. He keeps his word.
Depends on how you define morality I guess.
Considerably more moral and upstanding than almost anybody else in the D.C. swamp.
It irks me when so-called Trump supporters allow the media (who hate Trump) to set the narrative that Trump is immoral in some way.
Trump does not smoke, does not drink alcohol, does not do any kind of drugs. He raised outstanding children - not a bad apple in the bunch. He treats his wife with respect. He is unselfishly dedicated to entering public service and improving the lives of millions of people when he could easily take to the playboy life with his billions of dollars.
What's not to like? I see almost none of the crudeness that others attribute to him. He is also brutally honest, which causes some to say he lacks tact and decorum. So do we want to go back to a courtly and feckless smooth-talking politician who lies to us? And so what if he does (or did) have lust for the opposite sex. Most of us would see that as healthy.
Exactly! Let’s examine the upstanding, oh so moral, lives of his detractors. Joe and Mika? Hillary?
. . . and retroactively at that. Trump was a Democrat when he was recorded on the Access Hollywood tape. But now that hes a Republican is was wrong for him to talk that way, even tho he was a Democrat at the time.The only crime Democrats recognize in a politician is being a Republican.
If I feel I need a moral compass, I'll ask a priest or minister. I hired Trump to be my President..
It's like Trump hiring a bulldozer operator. Would he ever think about asking the job applicant what he does with his genitals?
Who cares? What I care about is the kind of job Trump is doing as President, and so far he's greatly exceeded my expectations.
These leftists love to bring up the “he was accused” items, which of course, was an accusation from another leftist.
This is why we have the assumption of innocent until proven guilty. An accusation is irrelevant.

I have yet to see how he is immoral.
Melania is his third/fourth/whatever wife. Rom. 7:1-4. Heb. 13:4
I voted for Trump because I saw a chance to take a wrecking ball to the desires and goals of the left, and as a rebuke to the leadership of the Republicans who by engaging in destructive trade policies damaging our country. I certainly would like a President who was less coarse, a Christian, a second Washington that could be a role model. Someone who would work against abortion, gay marriage, and other societal contaminates. No such candidate has appeared....I will be voting for Trump again since he is doing good at what I voted for him to do.
