African-Americans also complained that they were disproportionately drafted, assigned to combat units and killed in Vietnam. Statistics from the first three years of the war support these complaints. African-Americans represented approximately 11 percent of the civilian population. Yet in 1967, they represented 16.3 percent of all draftees and 23 percent of all combat troops in Vietnam. In 1965, African-Americans accounted for nearly 25 percent of all combat deaths in Vietnam. By 1967 this percentage had dropped considerably, to 12.7, but the perception that blacks were more likely to be drafted and killed remained widespread. NY Times

Originally there was a deferment for college. Far fewer blacks attend college than whites. That means more blacks drafted because of school/no school. I had one of those deferments then married and had a kid and switched deferments while I still ,could.

PS: I’m white, as far as I know.

So, the counter-logic is those that did not resist/refuse to serve are complicit minions of tyrants? Wait a sec there Tonto.

While no one ought to want to fight in a war, those who did by either volunteering or being drafted were doing their just service to nation. Regardless of what one thinks personally, the lawful requirement to serve in arms when called by the duly elected legislature (congress) and by order of the executive is expected. Those with valid excuses may pursue them.

That’s why JFK was whacked. JFK was going to pull out as stated in an early 1963 interview.

Volunteers for military service are all honorable men, unless they aren’t.

In a just war people will volunteer to serve. In an unjust war, Viet-Nam the Deep State cabel must force people to fight against. That sir is the behavior of TYRANTS

Viet-Nam was a phony war starting with the fake attack on a US shio in the Gulf of Tonkin. An attack that never happened.

The whole war was to plunder our nation of it’s treasure and our good men. While slaughtering who knows how many.

Freakin irrelevant, Trump can’t pardon Ali because there is nothing to pardon the Supreme Court took care of that years ago. So instead of playing what if, ask why none of Trumps people told him before he thumbed out another ignorant tweet?

No doubt that the college exemption worked against them and poor whites.
