As a public health researcher embedded in these communities, the answer is simple: Nowhere.

Disagree with the second paragraph. There are non-profits that can take these women and their kids in, provide counseling and a safe place to stay while they get their life together.

As an intake interviewer at a local non-profit food bank, I frequently interview women in this situation. If they are ready to leave the abuse shelter, we help them with furniture, house hold goods, etc. They hold a special place in our hearts.

If those sanctuary cities for illegals would put Americans first, especially with education and job training, this would be solved.
