However, from the perspective of his own temporal financial well-being, hating Trump is good policy. This guy has made a career out of being a smarmy, leftist entertainer. Further, he has seen the relative improvement in ratings from MSLSD and other outlets that have "gone left" after Trump's election. Indeed, Jimmie Fallon's ratings fell after he got the 2-minute hate after he "played" with Trump on his show. Meanwhile all the other late night losers' ratings rose as they veered anti-Trump. Yes, the ratings bump for many of them have cooled off. That said, the fact of the matter is that as far as entertainment is concerned, going full commie nowadays work$.
Now, I agree that Maher could likely be one of the first to be shot if the opposition Antifa class ever took hold and got REAL power. While I don't like his shtick at all, he is one of the few leftist comedians who speaks negatively about terrorists.
