Carbon dioxide is a non-flammable gas. It is the product of combustion itself. So even if you recover it, it cant become fuel with the addition of something else. It can only be separated to use as an oxidizer.

Where do these so called scientists of today come from that think they can take a penny and make a dollar from it without putting in the remaining 99 cents?

Reminds me of that doofus with the motor scooter that “runs on water”. He electrolyses the water, then burns the resulting hydrogen to make....[drum roll please].....water!

Well, if co2 is molecular (it is) then energy can be extracted from it. I think you’re right that it can’t be ‘converted’ to another fuel or at least cannot be converted to provide enough fuel to pay for it’s conversion.

See laws of thermodynamics.
