The Department of Justice reneged on a commitment to provide access to documents they promised to congressional lawmakers by Thursday morning. Instead, DOJ issued a press release after midnight suggesting they will only meet with a group of select lawmakers to discuss the matter on the same day the North Korea summit opens in Singapore, according to numerous sources and a DOJ statement.
Moreover, the Justice Department also issued new stipulations for briefing congressional members and limited the meeting with only the Gang of Eight, which is comprised of eight leaders within Congress who are briefed on classified intelligence matters.

Jeff sessions has a boss.
What does the DEEP DoDo State have on Sessions, anyone have any clues?
One quick solution is for “the Donald” to an executive order that all the documents be un-redacted and presented to the Citizens. It’s way passed time for the circus to end or put them all in jail. (do both)
President Trump is a very intelligent man, so we have to wonder why he has not chosen to do what you have suggested. He is also a man who keeps his promises, so we know he has a plan to carry them out.
So what motive would President Trump have for slow-walking these documents? He has unquestioned authority to order their release at any moment, but he has not chosen to do so. Why would President Trump want to buy time before Congress and Citizens get to see them? Might he be more interested in securing evidence for indictments and trials -- before his targets (including some in Congress) may also read them? We now know that at least several of Trump's new U.S. Attorneys have had grand juries reviewing evidence since last Fall (Huber, Hiland, Liu, et al), so wheels are turning.
Time will tell...
we have to presume that the DOJ is not answerable to the President of the United States.
Seems like Obama is still in charge of the DOJ and not the current President.
The Law is theoretical. BTAIM conviction on impeachment is the only legal way for congress to remove him and have no doubt, as you state, it will never happen.
That is not what I said. “Congress is immune from prosecution.” CongressMEN are not. Can’t see a RICO case being brought against Congress as a body.
The Congress should hold both Sessions and Rosenstein in contempt. Then either the Sergeant at Arms directs the Marshall s to arrest both of them or have a Marine battalion secure the area.
Next up, the FBI.

Let’s get this straight.
On one side is Trump and We the People.
On the other side is the Dept. of Justice and Sessions along with Mueller and his rabid prosecutor team of Hillary and Obama kissups.
Who is the boss?
Thanks detective. There's the Witch Hunt scandal; the Hitlery illegal email server scandal; the DNC/CFP money laundering scandal; the domestic espionage scandal; the Demwit IT scandal...
“Reneg” on a direct demand from those with a lawful obligation to oversee your work, when also refusing to obey your direct boss (the President) ... these people need to be terminated and unable to collect unemployment.
In the private world they would be!
Fire their sorry asses and charge them with contempt!
Then go after their corrupt masters in the DNC, Clinton camp, and previous administration till the proverbial political blood runs to the withers of the horses for 100 miles.
