American celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, the Emmy-winning host of CNN‘s “Parts Unknown,” has died at the age of 61, according to the network.
CNN confirmed his death Friday and said the cause of death was suicide.
“It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,” the network said in a statement Friday morning.
“His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.”
Bourdain, who was in France working on an upcoming episode of his show, was found unresponsive in his hotel room Friday morning by his friend Eric Ripert, according to the network.

My wife enjoys his show, and we watched his recent Hong Kong episode last night.
He had a unique, world-weary cinematic style, that whispered of his darker side. I’m not too surprised about his choice. Lots of unhappy libs out there in the world. RIP lizard king.

so , there are no media journalists demanding any specific, medical Autopsy ? It is simply assumed a suicide ? ... I never took any interest in A. B. , seemed to just be another self-righteous liberal traveling around the world , living the ultra-high life , being supported by a complete TV crew , so he was pretty much just another “average Joe” ....Not Bloody Likely! A sophisticated Jet Setter , nibbling and noshing on dainties and sweet meats , and exotic drink... as if any regular normal working stiff in the USA, could give two Sheets ... so he was basically addicted at some point to Opioids, which evidently gives him a 100% free pass from the Left Media . For my 2 cents , the dude was a punk panty waist swish cop out , and now the press tells us that we are supposed to honor him ? his memory? WHY? Because he took the easy way out and showed his true colors ? No I don’t think so.. Dude was worth over 15 Million Bucks, and he felt sorry for himself? OR ...OR , just maybe he was Murdered and now we are not supposed to ask who did it...
