To: Captain Peter Blood

I’d put the date when things started going down the toilet at November 22, 1963. It wasn’t that JFK was a great president, but it was that an insignificant, unimportant nobody changed the world. That demonstrated that it can be done to other insignificant, unimportant nobodies.

I think your right, I have thought the same for a long time now. We lost something that day that is hard to describe and it impacted Society in many ways, a lot of them in a negative way.

I think since that date, then with the war and the other assassinations we have become a more hardened and cynical society where now no matter what happens we are no longer shocked or outraged by much of anything.
