This is one of those little snippets of information, buried in the swamp and avoided by the media, that seems small and disingenuous unless you know the corrupt record of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
According to Wall Street Journalist Byron Tau, the Senate Intel Committee unanimously voted today to release documents to the DOJ “in connection with a pending investigation arising out of the unauthorized disclosure of information.“:

This is a list of important to the DNC liberal senators, a liberal independent, and two liberal republicans. A number of these people have made special a call for investigation not of the issue of the Russian interference, but of Trump himself. Others are high ranking liberals in the senate and still others have used their independence and GOP listing to work hand in hand with the liberals. If they couldn’t get H Clinton on the computer violations for national security screw ups, which were found and substantiated, the DOJ is not going to get any of them. Waste of time and money and a smoke and mirror for the failing investigation that has been going on to get Trump for over 3 years.

Feinstein unilaterally released the transcript of Fusion GPS Glenn Simpson’s testimony without approval, or clearance of the rest of the Committee. Blamed it on a bad cold.

Sundance is ever the optimist and it is his major flaw even though his reasoning is usually sound - he assumes that “do the right thing” applies to the DC elite. It does not. We not only have a two tiered system of justice in America - we have a two tiered system of logic.
Where is the congressional inquiry into the Russian “adoption” attorney meeting with Fusion GPS before and after the Trump Tower meeting?
That tells you everything you need to know. They met twice per reliable sources, but the only investigation was of Trump.
