Yes and no. Italy is undisclosed and overspends. True.
Then again the Euro is effectively a competitive currency devaluation for Germany which boosts their exports - and thus exports unemployment to Southern Europe......which causes Italy’s government to have to spend more. Who is on the hook for a lot of that public debt in Italy and the rest of Southern Europe? German banks backstopped by German taxpayers.
If Italy seceded from the EU and defaulted on its debts, the Germans would be left holding the bag. If Italy then devalued the reintroduced lira - which it would certainly do - German goods would be very expensive in Italy while Italian goods would be a lot cheaper in world markets.
This problem was not created solely by Italy and they aren’t the only ones on the hook here. The Germans don’t want to see that.

They actually seem surprised when some countries figure out the EU is just a project to lock in German-French hegemony.

Italy has many problems. I’m glad to see Italians reject the politicians who have failed.

Italians are “ungrateful moochers” for not working harder in their own country to support the ungrateful foreign moochers that Merkel and her globalists want as a replacement population? As usual with the political left, nothing makes sense.
Because the Muslim hordes travel in groups, serfs in Yurp countries are not allowed to carry guns, because the PC media will immediately label you as “far right” and “racist” if you try to make the barbarians act like civilized human beings and because the PC establishment governments will prosecute you instead of the Muslim rapefugees.
They are pretty stupid. Consider the Italians are mooches but the millions of Mad Mo’s they let in their country are the salt of the earth? I think Germany has a suicide complex like most liberals except it is on a national scale this time around.
Allow the lira to reach its own level.
