Donald Trump just dunked on Jeff Sessions in the most vicious way possible
CNN Fake News ^ | 6/6/2018 | Chris Cilliza

It's no secret that President Donald Trump loathes his attorney general, Jeff Sessions. The reason it's no secret is because on a weekly basis -- and sometimes even a daily basis -- the President is tweeting his distaste for Sessions.

Just when you thought the bullying couldn't get any worse -- Trump has repeatedly said he would never and should never have hired Sessions, called him "beleaguered," "very weak" and "disgraceful," and reportedly refers to the former Alabama senator as "Mr. Magoo" -- today happened.

The scene: A FEMA briefing in which Trump and a number of his Cabinet officials were seated around a table. For most of the Cabinet officials, Trump was effusive in his praise of the job they were doing. And then there was Sessions.

Here's what Trump said about each of the Cabinet members; I saved Sessions until last because, well, you'll see.

* Secretary of State Mike Pompeo: "Mike. Mike, another great job you are doing. Secretary Michael Pompeo. We're keeping him very busy. We're keeping you so busy. You're going to be flying -- a lot of flying in the next couple of weeks. But what a job you've done, and we appreciate it. The whole country appreciates it, Mike. Thank you very much." * Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin: "Steve Mnuchin. Steve, wherever you may be. He's working hard on those taxes and keeping the taxes down. We passed the greatest tax cut in the history of our country, and lots of other things. And thank you very much. Great. I think we say that we have had the strongest -- this is the strongest, from an economic standpoint, that our country has ever been. We're doing better in terms of business, in terms of unemployment. We've broken the record with

I'm not a Sessions worshipper.

But I trust in Trump.

The alternative is to believe that Trump is a chump - allowing himself to be duped by Sessions. That I cannot subscribe to.

When it comes to bringing powerful and high-profile people to justice, you only have one chance to get it right. So I choose to be patient and let events take their course.

Meanwhile, I'm extremely pleased with what Trump is getting accomplished and I look forward to 6 1/2 more years of MAGA. Seeing Hillary and her crew go to jail would be nice but the main event for me is the Trump presidency and the fact that Hillary will NEVER be president.

Trump talked about firing Sessions. Guess how much GOP opposition he faced. How many GOP Congress hacks supported Trump? What happened to Nixon when he went the firing route ***while he was under investigation***?

We do not want Trump to fire Sessions.

We are asking Sessions to resign on behalf of We the People.

He needs to resign. PERIOD.

Sessions recused himself from the Trump investigation. So Trump can fire him at will with no impact to the Mueller SC. The analogy to Nixon and his Saturday Night Massacre does not apply here.

I think Democrats would be overjoyed if Trump sacked him. Which is very telling in itself.

Mueller will never end the witch hunt. That is Sessions’ legacy: a never-ending witch hunt designed to destroy Trump.

If the midterms go well and Trump-hater Ryan is replaced by a Trump-supporter, POTUS can likely survive firing Sessions even in the teeth of the witch hunt.

When Trump talked about firing Sessions, Schumer screamed bloody murder just as loudly as the GOP senators. If you can name one [1] senator who supported Trump’s Sessions-firing trial balloon, I’ll concede that the Saturday Night Massacre comparison doesn’t apply.

That is a VERY low bar. I interestedly await the name of the senator.

She was anal retentive OCD and had every minute and piece of paper planned.

Her body was interred in a mausoleum crypt at the Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery in Santa Monica beside her sister, Mrs. Anna Thompson.

What is perplexing is sessions has to know if he quit his successor would likely put an end to all this russia nonsense, thus helping the trump administration get on with business. If in fact sessions is staying, as he claims he is, because he can still do good things then why doesnt he quit because then even better things will happen?

I dont get sessions logic.
